I love the old pics of Michelle and Barry
together. She ALWAYS looks angry. Her
brow is furrowed, her expression is
scowling. The press is missing the point.
Barry is a hang loose dude, it's his bitch
wife that kept him going. Barry just wants
to hang on the beach and smoke the killer
weed. Michelle is the one that kept them
going to Rev Wrights church for 20 years.

I really feel sorry for the Pres on his marriage.
Michelle has his balls locked in Ft Knox.

George W ha a career in his own right before he started to run for office. Sure his name helped, but he could hold up a resume. Hillary and Michelle's qualifications are solely being the mrs.

Mrs Clinton had a career as a lawyer (partner in a law firm). She's not exactly 'Miss stay at home and do nothing'. She out earned Bill until his election to the Whitehouse.

Mrs Obama has worked at various jobs until her husband's election as well. She was also out earning in him in base salary until a couple of years before his election.

I'd claim, in fact, that both the wives have -more- real world experience than their husbands who appear very much as career politicians to me.

George W. Bush does indeed have a career before running for government, but he did run for the House of Representatives before getting into the oil business in a major way (about 78/79) and then into the baseball game after helping his Dad campaign for President. 'Dubya' is not as dumb as he was portrayed, for sure.

Hillary might have worked in a law firm, but her campaign was as Mrs Bill Clinton and nothing else. If Michelle were to run it would be based on being Mrs. B. Hussein Obama. Heck, Hillary's resume still seems to be based on being Mrs. Bill Clinton.

And people say girls should look up to these two more than they should Sarah Palin, who made it all the way on her own.

It is, I just wish one of their opponents would have the stones to say, "So, apart from being married to Bill, what qualifies you for this job?"

My guess is the media would say such a person was "mean" but Hillary would stand there like a deer in the headlights.

Extensive qualifications are irrelevant to the constitutional reality.

Saying someone is not qualified is patently wrong, As long as they meet minimum requirements, we know they are qualified.

In fact almost everyone who runs for office is over qualified, the standards are so low.

That's the way the founders wrote it.
