For one, Bernie was for it. Trump may get smart and make either a deal or publicly offer him say a cabinet post in human services.

I never thought of that. Trump is a former independent running as a Republican , and Bernie is an independent running as a Democrat. I wonder if he would go for it?

He is too much a wild card to really handicap it. But my thought is that it need only be offered to capture a week in the news cycle. If he did it before Hillary tried then he shuts her out of reaching out to his voters and reduces her to "me too."

Yeah, the average voter really cares about Twitter. Die Hards following a new hashtag is not something to worry about..

Screw twitter, it's a joke. I got suckered into
#cruzsexscandal thinking it was real news.
It was just Trump followers talking to each
other, big whup. It never went anywhere,
there was nowhere to go.

RCP has Hillary with a 1 point lead over
Trump. In May. Not that long ago her lead
was monstrous.

"If the Democrats want to save themselves the indignity of a total slaughter, Hillary Clinton should drop out of the race. After last week, a Hillary-led ticket has as much chance of winning the White House as Trump has of losing the white vote. Sanders can beat Trump. And Hillary can’t — not anymore. Too many scandals, too many years of Clinton fatigue, and now, after the latest email revelations, just too many lies chasing her like Van Helsing on Dracula."

Trump packs football stadiums. Hillary fills
a gymnasium on a good day. It's called the
'enthusiasm gap' by the press. And Hillary
is always massively late (always), and Trump
rallies always start on time. A small thing, but
it speaks volumes about her team.

Speaks about her. I learned that people being always late means they are either disorganized to get places on time or egomaniacs that want to make other people wait and be the center of attention. F. Ross Johnson used to be intentionally late for the later reason, to make an entrance. Which is Hillary?

I think Trump joined the presidential race on a lark, enjoyed saying some nutty things on TV to draw attention to himself during the debates and rallies, and never thought he'd get this far. Now he's stuck. Should he be elected, he'd need to abandon his real estate empire for four years, which he probably never considered before. He also must realize how massively underqualified he is to run this country, so he back-peddles in situations where he spoke too soon (offering to debate a real politician like Sanders, saying "there must be some form of punishment" for women who get abortions, etc). His ego won't allow him to simply back out, so he may do something passively stupid to sabotage his chances before the election, like naming Sarah Palin as his running mate, or pissing off China somehow.

Where do you get this crap from. Trump
has been serious about running since
the early 90's. He almost ran in 2012.
He's already said he's turning over
the operation of his company totally
to his daughter. This has been planned
a long time. Rush Limbaugh has
played golf with Trump over many
years, and Trump was always hinting
at a run. He's hinted at it on talk shows
for 25 years, even talked about it openly.

If you think Trump is unqualified to
run, given his massive 40 year history
in business, you must have thought
Obama was a baby in a crib with a
pacifier in his mouth, he was that
unqualified.

Trump has been talking about being President for 35 years. He actually ran as an independent in 2000, but stopped early. I don't think it was a lark, but rather a lifelong obsession.

Bernie is down by 270 from "Delegates Won" in primaries and caucuses. On June 7th, there are 475 delegates from California and 219 from New Jersey, Montana,
North Dakota,South Dakota, and New Mexico. So if he wins California, he may have more delegates than Hillary (except for super delegates which were secured before voting began). I take it if he loses in California, he will concede and back Hillary, but if he wins, he is going to take the fight over the superdelegates right to the convention.

A debate with Trump may have given Bernie the attention he needs to win California. Perhaps Trump feels that he would rather face Hillary in the general election.

It's a moot point, the fix is in, Hillary
will be nominated unless the FBI has
bad news for her. She'll go over the
top on June 7th.

Looks like Bernie now knows he screwed up by taking Hillary's email issue off the table so early. Too bad, Bernie. You had a gift under the tree but refused to open it. Here is to still hoping you win in California.
