I'm all for the FBI and other agencies, if they do their job without prejudice. The people at the top were not doing that in this case.

A former 3 star American general who was head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, later doing business in Russia, sitting next to Putin then Appointed National Security Advisor to a President uniquely fond of making positive comments about Putin and other dictator types. A national security advisor lying about contacts with Russians. A national security advisor is one of the most sensitive jobs any American could have.

Our administration needs to do their part to help us not be suspicious. What do you think?

And our President is at the very least a flake who does un-presidential things. He sets a standard.

Those items are past of a discussion, but my comment related to the FBI and other agencies doing their job without prejudice,.

"but Trump" is just changing the subject without commenting on that comment.

It is discussed all the time, and I will criticize the President in some of those discussions.

Why can't we talk about this topic for a while?

I have already said that Flynn was correctly fired and will add (if I did not say it already) that he should not be allowed to work in government.

I am. I am talking about why an investigating agency may reasonably feel something is up and that the idea doesn't just come out of nowhere like some people seem to think. Doesn't mean they followed the law in processing it.

Nobody on the left defends Clinton.

HUH? We still hear "it was just all about sex" if you bring up his sexual harassment. The left defends him to the death.

Also two things can be true here. Like the OJ case, Mark Fuhrman can be corrupt and mishandled evidence and OJ can still be guilty. Doesn't have to be one or the other.

Are you okay with the corrupt pursuit of their target when there lawful ways to try to find the information?

I am not supporting Flynn; I just think the forces that wanted to "find something" on Trump abused their power.

This is the great summary post. As I said, I haven't been following this closely.

If I had to determine which bothers me more, a single politician, who was fired, being slimy, or the FBI using strong arm tactics to go after someone because of his political affiliation, it's not close.

Bill Clinton and Donald Trump are obvious slimeballs
I give neither a pass, both disgust me.
Just amazes me the attacks of Clinton's character by the right which are justified yet at the same time defending obvious slimeball Trump
Really amazes me how some people cant determine who slimeballs are due to politics

Some on the right, you give them proof a person is a slimeball. Many on the right cant agree a person is a slimeball till they know the politics of that slimeball.
There are slimeballs on the left and right. I call out both regardless of politics

I love how righties point out "leftist" (used loosely with Clinton) Officials who are sex offenders and are like "See you defend so and so"

No we don't.

We got Al Franken out of Office for taking an inappropriate picture without consent and kissing without consent.

We have been bashing the Clintons since before Trump made it popular on the right....

We mercilessly critique sex offenses on the left. So this "well look over there argument" does not work for the left, because we are already looking over there.....

I love Thomas Jefferson. One of the greatest authors and most influential people in history. His works are excellent (I particularly enjoy the Jefferson Bible, basically the bible with all of the absurd elements cut out, which turns out to be most of it.....) . But, he was a rapist (and owned slaves, but lets not go down that path here). I have no problem calling somebody I used to idolize a rapist even if it was hundreds of years ago. Just because I agree with somebody and love their work does not make them a good person. The right does not seem to grasp this, if they agree with somebody and love their work (I guess The Apprentice is the new classical art in their eyes), they will defend them tooth and nail for any sexual allegation......

Clinton is a monster and Trump is a monster. Both are Presidents, both cheated on their wives, both have long histories of sexual misconduct. Both visited the Epstein's island where only a fool would believe they did not engage in stuff that we don't even want to think about..... So yes, it is sad we have so many Presidents in this century that are sexual degenerates.

Bush was a genuinely good person. I may not agree with him on many issues politically , but he was not a scumbag. You knew he was real and down to earth (even with his faults). Obama was also a good person who was real and down to earth. I would love to meet and have a drink with Obama and Bush (I know he does not drink anymore its a metaphor), because you know with them the conversation would be real (and probably a lot of fun)....
The same cannot be said of Clinton and Trump, both are serial power abusers with a long history of misconduct who show a false side when on camera and in public.

Better think real hard before you want to attack people for not having pure motives while they do their work. I wouldn't be surprised if many Republicans are hoping they find something while fishing on Biden. Fishing may be legal, but ascribing pure motives to anyone is folly.

However, FBI has to follow the law. No question.

What's amazing is the people
here willing to waste their time
explaining the Flynn case to those
who will never understand it in
100 years. "He lied!" LOLOLOL
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
