I hope you are wrong! If the Republicans stand together, and it will have to be an ALL or NOTHING event, as if in charge they only have either 51 or 52 votes, the first test case will be Janet Yellen. Ed.... I will bet she gets confirmed.... $50? Bet is void if Senate is 50-50 of course.... |

I think most everybody likes Yellen. I would be shocked if she doesn't get confirmed. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

Get ready to be shocked Trump will threaten to primary anybody that votes to approve Yellen The base is totally behind Trump and the republican party knows it Trump holds all the cards on the right. Look how many republicans have abandoned the bedrock principal of states rights and supported TX overturning other states election results I was shocked how many republicans supported that absurd lawsuit How can you think Yellen will be confirmed when the majority of republicans think TX has the right to overturn elections in other states Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

I believe based on the way the stock market reacted when she was nominated. I will gladly bet you a meal at the Longhorn that she gets confirmed. Sorry, I am poor and unemployed so I have to limit my exposure hence the Longhorn. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

Are you actively trying to find a job or just satisfied with free unemployment money from State and Feds? Or for some reason you don’t qualify for unemployment payments? No action I stopped applying for Unemployment over the summer because I received my retirement package from my company Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Sorry, I didn't realize you offered a bet to Ed. I may have been exagerating my "poorness". Yes, I am looking for a new position and I had a great interview yesterday. I am collecting my $400 a week from the state of Nevada and that should go for another month. I am very fortunate in that my wife and I went to Florida twice last month and spent a few days in San Francisco. Unfortunately, with the international travel ban we did not get our annual 10 days in Saint Maarten. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |
