How can a party that grows the size of government at every opportunity be against government? Cracks me up.

Not being against police brutality. For saying that police unfairly target black communities.

They just make stuff up to make it look like society is unfair to racial minorities.

"Dream Defenders" endorse Bernie...

"Police and prisons have no place in "justice". Police and prisons aren't just racist but they work to enforce the separations of rich and poor. ...

They have no solution to offer; just complaints. Some parts of their complaint are justified but there are much better ways to fix those parts than abolishing police and prisons. That would create more lawlessness, not less.

Should Bernie denounce this endorsement?

Why should he? The Dems are the anti-law enforcement party. Their bail reform laws in NY, CA, and to a lesser extent, NJ, ensure that no one is going to be held on bail for anything short of murder.

It appeals to the Bizarro world voters. Governors with presidential ambitions, like Cuomo, will get their vote in 2024.

This mutt, choked and attempted to rape a woman in hospital in November. Under NY law he should have been held. So how did the DA manage to get him released? NY also has another law that requires the DA to either get a felony hearing or an indictment within six days. For some unknown reason, the DA didn’t do that, and the humanoid had to be released. Three months later he stabbed a woman to death.

The anti-prosecution trend started when Cuomo became governor in 2011. Since then, the NYS prison population is down 38%.

64 yr old Patrick Gorman, was sucker punched in June 2016 and died a few hours later. Mayor de Blasio’s NYPD had the video of the murder, but they withheld it for five months, with no explanation, and the case went nowhere. They only released it to the public after repeated requests and complaints from the family.

The murderer turned himself in after the Queens DA said the most time he would serve for the killing would be seven months. If he served any time at all, he was likely out in three months.

If thats their perception, I'm ok with the protests. This is America. Protesting is as American as Apple pie
I was ok with tea party protests just as I am ok with NFL players protesting.
I miss living near DC where EVERYBODY protested, right and left

I think that it is true of the most extreme wings of the left and the right. The extreme right (Libertarians), view the military as an imperialist bully.
The extreme left views the economy as rigged, and interventions as imperialism (the same applies to the extreme right).

The left views American history as tainted for several key reasons, some of which you mentioned (slavery and Native American treatment). But, the reality is, even when factoring all of the negative aspects of America, it is still the greatest force for good in world history. The tribes that were here when Europeans arrived used violence to seize the lands from others, Europeans were just more advanced and were able to take lands with ease. Slavery was awful, but just about every region has had some form of slavery, America was the only country in history willing to rip its self apart for the sake of ending it.....

America is not perfect. But, given its short history, and unique systems, it has done more for global progress than any other country in history.

Libertarians are not right. They are actually centered with views from both sides.
War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength

It depends on what you use as sides. Libertarians on some charts can be extreme right with almost no government desired (bordering anarchy/ anarcho-capitalists).

Basically it is supporting as minimal government as possible and think that the free-market should be the only force in the world.

I have honestly never watched a Football game in my life (other than maybe as a background screen at a random bar), so I really don't care that much about what football players do at the games.

But, I have seen them speak on the issue (Kapernick specifically and his supporters), and they have no basis in reality.

Of course they have a right to protest and to use the media to say foolishness, but we also have a right to call them out on it.

Libertarians usually have a left or right bent. It is about wanting to
Get rid of victimless crimes. Also yes totally free markets. It is not for most people.

It is definitely right (which is why almost all mainstream libertarians are Republicans).

Anyone who says (generally hear it from people on the left), "I am socially libertarian" has no understanding of what being libertarian means (if you only identify with parts of the label, there is not point having the label).
