It is definitely right (which is why almost all mainstream libertarians are Republicans).

Anyone who says (generally hear it from people on the left), "I am socially libertarian" has no understanding of what being libertarian means (if you only identify with parts of the label, there is not point having the label).

We hear libertarian points from the left all the time. From no abortion restrictions to wanting to buy legal pot.

I stumbled upon this talk a few days ago. Highly recommended. I doubt most will be bothered to sit through an hour and a half talk, but put it on while you're cooking dinner or something.

This country needs Bernie Sanders. Now. Yesterday. Last year. Ten years ago. 20 years ago. 30 years ago. Hurry. Before it's too late. AGAIN.

Exactly, Ayn Rand is a prime example of a libertarian, few rules, free market, no restrictions on economics. (Also very pro-choice, and supported the idea of putting what you want in your body). She is an example of bordering anarchy.

Ron Paul is a less extreme example (not quite as far right as Ayn Rand), but a career Republican (though he was not pro-choice, he claimed it was because of his OBGYN training, but it could have been political, impossible to know).
Gary Johnson who has run both as a Republican and a Libertarian is a little more extreme with even fewer restrictions.

Those are socially liberal positions.

Libertarians share those positions only because they want no government regulation of anything, and think the free market can produce any product that it wants.

Libertarians don't want legal pot and abortions because of some kind of pro-marijuana or pro-women stance, they want them only because they want no laws restricting anything that the market can provide.... They also want legal cocaine and legal prostitution.

I agree libertarian is further right. Far left is totalitarian. Hitler, Stalin and Mao were leftists. It is possible to be anti abortion and libertarian. It's not about no laws/anarchy which is impossible.

Why should he? The Dems are the anti-law enforcement party. Their bail reform laws in NY, CA, and to a lesser extent, NJ, ensure that no one is going to be held on bail for anything short of murder.

Libertarians are not about “no laws” but minimal laws. No libertarians would support murder being legal. They are for no victimless crime laws and for no law compelling association.

The kneeling football players gets tagged as hating America for being against police brutality
My only complaint about the kneelers is, they were doing it on company time. They've also got the entire off season to kneel and protest. Where are they now, out spending their giant NFL paychecks, or protesting against discrimination?
