You can say he sucked in 2016. I believe he picked up votes against HRC in those debates.

they will use "the best candidate for the country now" or whatever

Sigh. That's what the PRIMARY/CAUCUS
system is for. We already went thru
that and still are. There is not a person
or group who can kick all that to the
curb and insert their 'special' candidate
as the nominee. If Biden dropped dead
tomorrow, it would be Sanders who gets
it. The American people have to legally
vote in and nominate a candidate. Why
are you acting like we live in a banana
republic where the peoples vote counts
for nothing.

And beyond all that, the Repub Party
and Senate would never approve of
any of the nonsense you're
laying out. It's fantasyland gobblygook.

Donny’s debate performances in 2016 were pathetic.

To you, of course. There were dozens
of polls where he won every debate.
I looked at them when every debate
was done. He killed it.

Online click polls that mean nothing.

Actual *scientific* polls show he lost every general election debate.

Even so, he’s president. So maybe the debates aren’t as important as SOOPOO thinks they will be for Biden??

How did Biden make it through all the Democrat debates if he is doing so badly at debates?

Good question! My guess is that the Democrats, scared shitless over a possible Sanders nomination, had to pick someone. Biden had a plurality, the VP experience, and name recognition, and at least the appearance of being 'central' enough to be palatable. If I remember correctly, he was a big favorite UNTIL the debates started.
That's how he made it through the debates..... poorly!

I'm not so sure how important the debates will be, actually. I think the November election might now (without Sanders) be as simple as an up or down vote on Trump. No matter who or what (potted plant?) the Democrats put up.

How about this.... Dow 26,000 or higher, Trump wins. Lower.... Biden wins. If somehow the Democrats could actually nominate Cuomo, I'd say Trump needs 28,000 to win.

I think the unemployment rate would be a much better measure than the Dow...

I have finally voted in this poll for Joe Biden to be the nominee as that seems most likely, if my vote turns out to be wrong at this stage it would be embarrassing.

Not who I wanted, but it seems the likley prediction to be the nominee.

I think if you are unemployed the Dow means bupkus. But for the 95% ish that want to be employed and will be, and all the retirees, the Dow (or S & P, or NASDAQ) is a better indicator of 'the economy'.

My point is if YOU are not unemployed it really doesn't matter if the unemployment rate is 3.5% or 4.5%.

I think the Dow is a terrible measure of the economy, as evidenced by this instant-classic tone deaf screenshot:
