The flu does not kill hundreds of thousands every year.

It absolutely kills hundreds of thousands every year. I think JUST AMERICANS the number is around 70,000. You don’t think the REST OF THE WORLD adds at least another 30,000? Really?

I’m not wrong. Depending on what source and what year, the flu kills around 300,000 - 700,000 people a year. Ams challenges Gorsuch who said ‘the flu kills hundreds of thousands of people each year’. You don’t think 300,000 is hundreds of thousands? How about 700,000? Or let me guess, if they aren’t Americans they don’t count as people? ams——. FAIL!

I did not reply to ams288 because he is blocked. I did see his comment because I do not log in on my phone, so the lock is not on there and I see all comments. I checked out the numbers and the quotes and the context of what Goesuch said...here is proof for his statement:

"Globally, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that the flu kills 290,000 to 650,000 people per year. "

Had he said "we" his statement would have been comparable to Sotomayer's ("our" number is not in the 100,000's)...her number was way, way off...

The two comments are not the same at all.

Thanks Ron. I would have been surprised had Columbia educated Gorsuch would make that mistake.

Correct, non-Americans do not count.

Unless the Supreme Court was for some reason debating some other country’s vaccine mandate.

Agree with AMS, why would the Supreme Court be referring to world wide stats? That's not their jurisdiction.

Not his fault you are unaware the word ‘people’ is not synonymous with ‘American’. If he wanted to say ‘Americans’, he knew there was such a word. And the President is CERTAINLY concerned about the worldwide effects of the pandemic. He repeatedly touts the free vaccines we give to other countries. He has blocked entry to the USA because of infections in certain countries. Border policy is affected by outside infections.

It is truly laughable that you actually said ‘non Americans do not count’. Not the policy point most liberals will take on discussing the millions of illegal aliens here!

It is known as Comparative Constitutional law. Comparing US decisions to foreign decisions.

The FDA has been requested to release documents concerning the covid vaccine developed by Pfizer.
The FDA said it wants 75 years before they release. Now why would that be if this crap was not a total disaster.
What are they hiding? They are hiding the damaging results that happened in a lot of the testing they did.
People that died, people that had brain damage, people who lost permanent use of parts of their bodies.
