Getting bad out there as hospitals running out of treatments for their covid patients

Thank goodness that dumb Ivermectin horse paste was not mentioned. I'm still gobsmacked that some Trumpers were pushing this obvious BS simply due to politics.
I think Ivermectin mania has finally died out. Its gotta be the dumbest thought on the planet to think the medical community conspired against ivermectin. Right up there with believing the boogie man

Time to put pressure on at the highest levels to push production of all these (and any other viable) options. If they are already doing that, the folks in charge should tell us about it.

Requires leadership. People forget how last year Trump got GM and other to a WWII style conversion to put out ventalators. That was just one thing they did. No reason they should not be doing the same now. Just need a leader taking problems more serious than making political speeches.

Shhhh… ivermectin works wonders. All unvaccinated trumpsters should take it when they get Covid at their next nascar race.

Its the unvaccinated going for Herman Cain awards that are filling the hospitals. No doubt the majority Trumpers. That's the real problem. Hospitals did not realize so many people are stupid

The sky is blue
Folks in charge should tell us about it
NOT
The people responsible need to keep doing their job and not waste time on such subjects as "tell us about it". Warp speed was just a campaign slogan that had nothing to do with reality.

Any comment on Ivermectin? No doubt there have been more deaths due to some Republicans that are not doctors pushing unproven drugs due to politics. Even members on the right here that I respect (not blocked) were posting articles about ivermectin supposedly working.

You know that I support vaccines. I think people should get them.

The President is doing a poor job and all you do is try and obfuscate that with what others are doing.

None of them said that they were going to shut down the virus. He did.

He needs to go all in and show us how he is working for us to help get the issues with supplies resolved. He does not do anything but say the same thing over and over again...he should be leading the way not exactly like Trump, but with the same force and energy.

Perhaps he will get lucky and the virus will fade from the forefront with weaker mutations.

Don't bother with the "what would you him do" comment.

His job.

The one he won and said that he wanted to do.

What date did he announce when it would happen?

Heh.

Good one and I don't honestly think that it is going to be "shut down"; I only expect him to lead in a forceful manner and put all of the tools available to him to help get us to the better side of this. Maybe we will get there in spite of the lack of effort on his part. He is leading from behind, not the front.

Funny how things change.

Early on in the pandemic infection numbers like we now see would lead to immediately shutting everything down.

Not any more.

People have had enough and the government knows it.

"Live and let Die," that's the new policy.

Omicron is no Delta.

But there was more uncertainty in the beginning and no vaccines. People weren’t sure if you had to wipe down boxes from deliveries and so on. However if you still get a severe case of the virus, I’m sure most will be suitably impressed or dead.

Early on in the pandemic infection numbers like we now see would lead to a lot more deaths.
Much as changed. The initial lockdowns and social distancing bought us time. Vaccines and therapeutics bought us more time. And now, touch wood, omicron is gifting us herd immunity. Hopefully!
And I concur that people have had enough. We might just be getting a break.
