You can knock down every statue in the country and you won't do a think to change they way race relations work in this country. You won't stop a single Black person for being hassled by a cop, you won't do anything to solve the riddle of fixing inner cities, you will just tear down statues.

I didn't even say we needed to keep them all...the longer tearing down statues is more important than working on the everyday issues, the lower the chances of real change become.

Tearing down a statue is easier than working on the real problem.

Who even really cares about statues or any form of architecture, anyway? Read a book. If a person can't understand history without an expensive visual representation, that person is probably an idiot.

I did not say all statues should stay. They should not be removed in a criminal manner. Go through the proper channels.

My point is...which must be easily missed by folks trying to tell me we don't need statues...

Don't know what I said that would indicate I support slavery.

This is ridiculous, why haven't they all been killed yet? You tell people they have precisely four hours to leave the entire area and then you go and kill everyone who is still in there. This isn't difficult.

This is treason, why are any news outlets painting this in a positive light?
