The Cold War was not WWIII.

If we enter another major conflict (actual arms conflict), America will be just fine, we have the best military in the world, the most nukes in the worlds, the most space capacity, and a long list of allies that have impressive militaries.

Really China and Russia are the only countries that could pose a serious challenge, but even allied together (unlikely), America still wins easier (all of NATO would be against them, and much of Asia....) Realistically it would turn into a nuclear conflict, so not much will matter other than who can fire nukes faster, and that is easily us (we have nuke subs everywhere on top of our fixed bases and aircraft)....

Yes, it was. Most of the world lined up behind on of the two superpowers. A worldwide geopolitical chess game. Just no direct battles except between the USA and China.

China could shut down the supply chain that our military relies on. But the real thing is Americans do not have what it takes to win. Consider if today's America would even allow the enemy to be called Krauts and Japs? About 40% of the population would have what it takes but 30-40% are so PC that they would not support any kind of war for any length of time. They would call the war "racist!" Remember that even after 9/11 we had this group asking what we did to make them attack us.

The America that was described in the opening of "Patton" no longer exists.

Ridiculous. Because Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan are not anywhere comparable to the threat of the axis power in comparative terms. Even then, America was reluctant to get into that fight until Pearl Harbor.

America has no stomach for long small wars that in no way are a major threat to even our shores. That's all we've learned.

This is like saying “We could have easily beaten Covid-19 if we just followed our racist uncle’s lead and only referred to it as the China virus!”

Few things seem to trigger Duffman more than accurately labeling racist slurs as racist.

Saw a video of one of the busloads of Haitian immigrants being relocated somewhere in the US. What I saw was not immigrants it was welfare recipients. Half the bus was overweight totally uneducated black women and the other half of the bus was their children. Where are these people going to fit into American society except as welfare recipients. And the young black men they are trying to fly back to Haiti have already learned to riot as soon as the plane starts taxiing on the runway so it has to return and let them off. And Beijing Joe Biden so far he has refused to comment on any of this or even on the drone strike that killed all those children. It's gotten so bad the Press Corps in the White House stormed Jensuki's office yesterday demanding to know why Beijing Joe no longer accepts questions. She blew them off and sent them away. And we thought Obama had an opaque Administration

The right’s obsession with Haitians is starting to give me 2018 “caravan” flashbacks. Gotta rile up the base with the idea of non-white people seeking a better life!

Was just hearing about the gigantic tax increases on Utilities in this 3.5 trillion dollar debacle of a bill before Congress. The reason for the increases are so will be encouraged to 'go green' but the reason the taxes are really there is so Democrats can use the money to load pork in the future. This is what global warming is all about, squeezing money out of the public for a crisis that does not exist. If these taxes pass within just a couple of years it will almost double electric bills in heavy air conditioning states like Nevada Florida Arizona and most southern states. Who will this affect the most, poor people of course who can barely pay their bills now. This is the liberal hivemind at work, pretend you're doing something that's good for the people when it's actually good for you.
