Frankly I don't give a rat's patooie what happens to Trump: jail or reelection, it won't affect me or my life in the slightest.

Oh, I think he's a wretched human being but then again I hold that opinion about many others as well.

He provides clownish entertainment: that is what interests me.

Biden is a cold fish, as interesting as watching paint dry.

As a great suicide once sang...

"Here we are now entertain us"

If you are an American, your life will indeed be affected by who is President. IF you aren't an American, your life will most likely be affected by who is the US President. To think otherwise is a myopic view.

Let him provide clownish entertainment as a private citizen.

That’s what losers say. The prosecution has a high bar to leap over. Has to convince all 12 not that Trump likely committed the crimes, but that there is no reasonable doubt about it. It will be hard to get a unanimous decision either way, as I’m sure some of the jurors are starting with ‘Trump bad man’.

Has there ever been another President that committed a crime while covering up/denying an extramarital affair? Hmmm….. pretty sure he wasn’t convicted of anything despite incontrovertible evidence of his lies.

Anyway, I’d bet $1 on him not being convicted in this trial, even though he clearly paid to cover up him riding Stormy. You seriously don’t see how anyone who contributed to him could see no better way for the money to be spent?

There was no convition because all sides cut a deal. Is a deal on the table here?

I was talking about major negative, intrusive, substantial change.

My life didn't noticeably change when Trump was president and it won't if he wins the upcoming election.

I'd never vote for Trump, nor would I vote for Biden.

I always vote Libertarian.

I’m stunned that Trump has taken the lead in the race to be president. What has happened to actually change a 2020 Biden voter to become a Trump 2024 voter? I’ll list my guesses. And before my Dem/lib friends try and dispute the causes I list, I’ll say that they may be ‘perception’ even if not probably true.

1. The border
2. Crime
3. The economy
4. Biden’s mental decline
5. Israel (included is STUPID people not voting for Biden who are pro Hamas/Palestine)
6. The trials (I believe there are enough ‘middle school f the road’ people who see them as political abuse of power.

Golfed yesterday with two other doctors. Republicans. As many, said they won’t be voting for either. But would have easily voted for Haley.

I would move the economy to number 1.

Me too. Economy is the one thing that's most likely to be local to more people and they are going to notice on a daily basis, yet it's still considered generally a nationwide issue all the time, whether perceived good or bad.

Most people have to read or watch the news to experience the other stuff every day.

This is the latest Harvard/Harris Poll.

Immigration remains the number one issue, followed by inflation, then the economy and jobs, which according to the poll, is becoming an increasing concern.

Inflation is just a subset of the economy. And so is jobs.

They give inflation its own category because inflation affects everyone.

Israel/Gaza is Biden's Achilles Heel. Whatever he does or does not do will anger some subset of his voters. Pause sales to Israel will p155 off some Jewish Voters. Don't pause such sales and he'll p155 off Gaza sympathising voters. These issues won't drive votes to trump, but will erode support for Biden. It's one of the enduring truths about being the incumbent. Repubs and trump will just keep pecking at that scab without needing to suggest any better alternatives.
