Israel/Gaza is Biden's Achilles Heel. Whatever he does or does not do will anger some subset of his voters. Pause sales to Israel will p155 off some Jewish Voters. Don't pause such sales and he'll p155 off Gaza sympathising voters. These issues won't drive votes to trump, but will erode support for Biden. It's one of the enduring truths about being the incumbent. Repubs and trump will just keep pecking at that scab without needing to suggest any better alternatives.

Those opposing Biden because of his actions in Gaza are not moving towards a truce or some sort of less violent resolution are voting for something worse with Trump

I think there are still 8 US citizens (theoretically alive) being held as hostages by the elected government of Gaza, also know as Hamas. I think Trump would propose a more violent solution to that problem, and it would not go well for the ‘innocent civilians’ of Gaza. Has anyone heard Biden even mention what he is doing to get the US citizens freed?

The Seal team could be wandering through tunnels as we speak. But you have to have some good intel to work with to start with. Unless you mean trading with Hamas, which doesn't sound like a great idea either. The Taliban seems reliable by comparison.

I’m thinking Trump informs the Hamas leadership that unless the US hostages are released what Israel has done to Gaza would look like a preliminary strike. I can see Trump trying to show he is more of a ‘man’ than Biden was.

Not that I was going to vote for either Biden or Trump anyway, but Joe's move to wipe out a lot of student loans and stick the balance to tax payers like me sticks in my craw.

Hell, when I borrowed money I paid it back without a dime of help from the feds, and so should everybody else.

Not my fault they put their money on the wrong horse, why should I bail them out?

Apples and oranges.

Besides, I own a lot of stock in corporations and am probably considered wealthy, even in these inflated times; I did it even after paying off all my student loans.

Everybody should be responsible for their student loans: duh.

Tax breaks for corps in theory allow them to be more profitable and to hire more workers: without corporations ma and pa Kettle would be dirt farmers.

Everyone benefited from those tax cuts. They created wealth and spurred growth.

Since the Trump tax cuts:

Corporate profits are up 66%

Wealth for the top 1% has increased 38%.

Wealth for the 50-90% group has increased 62%

Wealth for the bottom 50% has increased 161%.

The top 1% income bracket still pays 46% of all federal income taxes. You call that a tax break?

The top 10% pays 75% of the total federal income taxes.

The bottom 50% pays 2.3% of total income taxes.

Those who pay the least, have benefited the most.
