I think you are wrong on that. It is probably just your political bias. I think the majority of the Republican party is anti-Trump. Sadly, just the wackos and political news pundits want you to believe everyone loves Trump because it entices people to watch and read the news. I think 90% of voters just vote for their party no matter who is running. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

I think that is their true feeling, but they won’t come out and say it. Most republican politicians are still very very afraid to say anything negative about Trump. |

I also think Trump is now currently on the decline amongst more of his supporters. Unmanageable, unmoored, loose cannon? Who knew?????? Although I have seen a hesitation on totally embracing anyone else. But that may be that when anyone on the left mentions anyone else rising, this creates suspicion among the far righters that there must be something wrong with that choice. But I'm fine with that too. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

I believe you are correct about the politicians, but the 10's of millions of voting members of the party I believe are mainly against Trump as a candidate now. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

I don’t see why she wouldn’t. She’s one of the party’s brightest stars. But I think Biden will be the nominee in 2024. We’ve just had two consecutive elections of people counting him and the Dems out, to their peril. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Well, he's already two years into my prediction that he won't make it health-wise to 4. I hope I'm wrong. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

| odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 165 Posts: 6374 | I am predicting that the Senate will be 51 Dems and 49 Republicans, well, OK, 50-50 almost as likely. We won't find out till the GA runoff finishes I also wouldn't be surprised if the House stays Dem controlled, since I am assuming the delay is all about mail-in ballots to count, and guess what? I won't finish that. The link indicates the current 215 Dem to 220 Rep situation is +/- seven seats for margin of error. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/11/08/midterm-elections-2022-live-updates.html I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

| odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 165 Posts: 6374 | at this point, the GA runoff being a Rep. win is the only way they get to 50-50 ... 50 Dem Senators is now considered a fact now it's 216 to 219 with margin of error +/- four seats. I'm thinking more likely Dem controlled than Rep controlled in the end, which is taking forever https://www.cnbc.com/2022/11/08/midterm-elections-2022-live-updates.html I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |
