Republicans only have 10 to protect Could get ugly I'm hoping for a recovered and roaring economy putting Dems in the driver's seat. I've lost money in the market recently just like most folks. Only right that I get it back and more over the next 2 years :-) Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Yeah, the Senate map in 2024 is brutal. Dems have to defend Senate seats in Montana, WV, and Ohio… in a presidential year. Yikes. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

If Repubs keep talking about abortion they can lose anywhere. If Repubs even partially try and impeach Biden they can lose anywhere. If Repubs don’t jettison Trump they can lose everywhere. If the Repubs can have those candidates on someone like DeSantis’ coattails, you are right, the Repubs would be big favorites in those races. I think Manchin would just retire rather than seek re-election. Other than Manchin, the Dems have no chance in West Virginia. But this is all pure conjecture. Let’s see what happens, and public perception of it, during a split Congress. |

Someone on Twitter pointed out that Gretchen Whitmer is taller than Ron DeSantis, who is only 5 ft 9. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

If you want to interpret that poll combined with election results likely means that more half of the pop has little to no faith in either party going forward. Hence the lesser evil excuse reasons for voting. Sounds about right. Moving to Medellin is looking nicer and nicer by the year to me. |

It was obvious with the surge in women registering to vote after the decision to overturn RvW. 'It wasn’t just “the economy stupid”—it was abortion' The dems should do even better in 2024. If the economy turns south, it will do it within the next nine months. It should be recovered in time for 2024. |

As most people said it would be since June. A few loud voices (jcw, Duffman) tried to drown out the common sense view, to their detriment. 2024 will also be about abortion rights. Whoever the GOP nominee is will obviously support a national ban. Women will be motivated again to prevent a GOP trifecta. Thanks Alito! ;) “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Let me get this straight. Are you saying the recently conducted House elections were ‘all about abortion rights’? The election in which this Democrat majority country just voted for Republicans by MILLIONS of votes more than Democrats? That (not done counting, but) 220 voted Republican and only 215 voted Democrat? Please explain to me if it is ‘all about abortion’ how there are FEWER Democrats elected to the house and MORE Republicans elected to the house after the Roe reversal? You can say whatever you want, as you always do, but that doesn’t make it true! |

Yes. Would have been 240+ GOP seats pre-Dobbs. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |
