Looks like the final is Trump 312 to Harris 226.

Of course, Trump easily won the popular vote because the last one was fixed and the reds had 4 years to plug the leaks.

Plus, the reds now have control of the Senate & House.

Very rare I'd say.

This is a reset, not the end of the world for one team and the beginning of total domination by another.

The drop in vote totals (ignoring conspiracy theories) was huge. The Democrats will get over their infighting and come back strong.

If your party gets too far out of the mainstream, you get knocked down a peg. It is really simple.

Abortion access is an issue but, as states decide policy (and some will adjust those), it won't play as well on the national stage. "Roevember" is over unless some Republican turns idiot and proposes something nationwide.

The Republicans have a huge opportunity. They either have to get things done or they will lose seats in two years...that happens most of the time anyway.

In four years, we'll have a new batch of candidates. Vance could be a player. Will Harris be back? Dems have lots of folks on the bench.

The largest state, CA, was at 58% counted last night. A full day after polls closed.

There were 158 million votes in 2020.
They are 17 million below that now.
They are still counting. California's 6.7 million uncounted ballots will make a difference but I doubt that there are 10 million more out there beyond those.
If there are, I will gladly accept being corrected. Most states are into the 95% counted range with the blue west coast further behind.
