there was an investigation of Hilary in which it was determined that she and her staff were sloppy and careless in handling classified documents but that she did not have the intention of breaking the law

then FBI Director James Comey decided not to charge her - see link

the difference in this case is that the Great Orange Hero intended to break the law and lied to cover up his lawbreaking

Trump has caught a very big break

at least initially, a Trump appointed Judge - Aileen Cannon - will oversee the case

she was criticized by a higher court for a series of rulings that were unusually favorable to Trump during the early stages of the investigation

it is unclear whether she would remain assigned for the entirety of the case

They did work during a previous strike. Leno didn't sound any worse without writers.

Actually, it looks like they stopped their shows for awhile but some returned early and started doing shows before it ended.

THE GEORGIA INVESTIGATION

Lindsey Graham asked the Secretary of State if he could discard legally cast ballots

Trump called Georgia Governor Brian Kemp asking him to convene Georgia's Legislators to select electors that would support him in the election

at least 8 of 16 Republicans who participated in the fake electors scheme have accepted immunity deals to cooperate with the Prosecutor

some parts of the Grand Jury report have been released which concluded that some of the witnesses may have committed perjury

Georgia certified the results of the election many times

Once that happens, obviously the US gubmint can get back to being the moral and upstanding entity it has always been…..

Trump seems to have lost some of his magnetism, his luster.

Of course, news of the convictions of the Jan. 6th rioters would be a factor, as would the end of the BLM chaos which he milked.

Remember how there were fears of rioting when he was indicted in NYC over the hush money?

Who showed up?

A handful of supporters.

He was a creation of his times, and the times, they are a-changing.

FWIW, while I vote Libertarian I would be in favor of a moderate, sane, rational, well-balanced republican at the helm and not a liberal / progressive.
