I'm kind of surprised at the hysteria about drones. If they're spying on us, what the hell can they find out that Experian, Equifax, Transunion, FBI and your next door neighbors probably already know?

It's a hoax, a joke. The only reason you have lights on a drone is so it can be seen at night so if you're being clandestine and secretive why would you fly around with your lights on. Obviously they want to be seen so that means this is some kind of practical joke.

I agree. Although I don’t go to the beach very much anymore. People find new ways to make things suck.

This drone business in northern NJ is a bit of a deja vu.

Back in the sixties my uncle, an aerospace engineer in LA, showed me how to construct and light off UFO's using dry cleaner bags, stiff cardboard strips, birthday candles and scotch tape.

They'd light up at night, catch the wind and move along nicely...a classic UFO.

Nobody had seen them before and I had a bit of fun lighting them off and causing a mild ruckus, e.g. people following them.

To make it more interesting I affixed a firecracker so that they exploded at the end.

I stopped due to fear of starting a wildfire.

Ah, those were the days...

Can they take a picture of my roof? I want to know what kind of shape it's in, and I don't like to get up on ladders to check myself.
