It is not an obvious joke, I have heard some very disturbing statements by Trump supporters about Greenland. Someone saying they would apply for 10,000 acres would clearly be a joke to anyone with any kind of a sense of humor.

Annexing Greenland is a good idea. Help get more claim on the Arctic. But you are the type that would have said the purchase of Alaska was a bad idea when it was proposed. Heck, if Nixon said "one day we will use laser beams for surgery" you would have called it "Star Trek Surgery" and laughed at it. You are the kind with no vision for the future and what it can be.

People laughed and laughed and made fun of the guy who suggested buying Alaska in the middle of the 19th century. Just like they're laughing at buying Greenland. Let's see who has the last laugh on this one.

Manhattan was purchased for $24.

For the Louisiana Purchase we paid $11.25 million.

Then later on, we put most of the natives on the reservation.


So the military did and will do again.

We just don't know which land areas.

And if there are any in the way trying to kill soldiers in our military, they'll be put on the reservation too.

Why would they be trying to kill our soldiers which they probably see up there already and have for decades. Why would we put them on a reservation? Did we do that in Guam? Alaska? Hawaii? Where do you get these ideas?

The kindest definition of "annexation" is basically forced buying. It's not about purchasing a property put up for sale voluntarily. But then again, it also doesn't necessarily need compensation to be annexation.

Lots of annexations are voluntary, like Texas. Some countries ask to be annexed and get refused, like Mongolia to the USSR.

Since he specifically, said force was not an option when asked about Canada he knows the difference.
