Good eating, getting old, sick,
or all of the above?

There's an 86 yr old in my local gym who works out six days a week. Light weights. 15-20 Lbs, but he works out intensely, and doesn't take a break. Not nearly overweight and moves like a teenager. No complaints about stiffness or sore joints. He lost his wife two years ago. When she was alive, he complained she hid his Cialis.

Always flirting with the young women in the gym.

Now he tells me "I got a new one." "47 years old." "She won't come up to my apartment yet. She says she's not ready."

I guess he found the Cialis.

Healthiest people on the planet.

The average lifespan for an American is close to 100 years.

'there are more than 20 million listed with ages 100 and higher, including more than 3.9 million in the 130-139 age range, more than 3.5 million in the 140-149 range and more than 1.3 million in the 150-159 range.'

"there are FAR more ‘eligible’ social security numbers than there are citizens in the USA."
Headline for the link is
Elon Musk says millions in Social Security database are between ages of 100 and 159

This is a sad day for the Libbies... an angry day! Even the ones who are not in on the money grab, some here no doubt, are mad at Musk for discovering this. In that disconnect that they have with everybody else, they don't understand why letting people get away with this isn't OK, 'just perfect' in fact, and buying a lot of votes

You rightwingers can’t be left alone unsupervised. I suggest you do some searches as in ‘are SS recipients really 150 years old’? Maybe try the “Wired’ article for starters.

Also from Politifact. (You can dispute him of course)

As a percentage of all payments, improper payments account for 0.84% of the total, the inspector general has found.

That’s "better than any private insurance company in the nation," and with a lower cost of administration, said Henry J. Aaron, a fellow with the Brookings Institution think tank and a former chair of the Social Security Advisory Board.

Wolves guarding the hen-house:

A simple rule to follow is, if the person in question is a RINO, ask yourself how all the NGOs were able to loot the cash.

If this is true, we could see all the RINOs resign.

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR), once regarded as a staunch conservative voice in the Republican Party, is now facing major scrutiny over his connections to the International Republican Institute (IRI), a taxpayer-funded nonprofit that has received over $130.7 million in federal grants in 2024 alone.

I remember him playing for the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers, but his days with the Milwaukee Braves were before my time.

No proof the 150 year olds are receiving checks. Maybe they're still working and don't need the extra cash.

Only 6 million of 20 million are alive, but I wonder whether Soc. Sec. deliberately keeps the deceased in the database to skew the Life Tables in order to influence policy.

I'm reading weird rumors on Fort Knox.

And the area just got flooded by bad weather.

What are the odds of that?

I don't care what they report, but they don't have any independent parties going along verifying anything. They might as well be reporting what they found in NSA files.

Two more Oregon cats died this month after eating raw cat food that was contaminated with the deadly bird flu virus, prompting Washington state officials to issue a recall.

The cats lived in separate households in Multnomah County but both ate the same food produced by Wild Coast Raw in Olympia, Washington, according to the Oregon Department of Agriculture. They became so ill that they had to be euthanized within days of each other, state records show.
