| DoubleGold Member since: Jan 26, 2023 Threads: 34 Posts: 4246 | Showing two FRED charts to determine if we're entering a recession: In the first chart, the 1990, 2001, & 2008 recessions occurred when the 10-2 yield reached a tad below 1%, right after being below 0% (was recently inverted). That condition currently exists. So for us to enter a recession, the initial claims need to trend upward. Last reading was 223,000 so possibly around 300,000 to 500,000. Somewhere in there. If she's not triggered, we could see a market bottom around April 21 to the first week in May.
