When they take an innocent life from a woman, it likely makes them feel like the guy that pitched a softball shut-out against women.

Oh well, we can play the game again.

No harm done, NOT.

Answering Geno and Rx…. Neither of you answered my question. Would you prefer the kidnapper, (let’s make it real easy), who admitted he was the kidnapper, who told you the child was going to be fed to the Kiimodo Dragons in an hour, to not have his face punched, if punching his face would make him reconsider and tell you where his lair is? It’s a simple yes or no type question. In this specific case do you save the child by violating the bad guys rights, or not?

Now let’s assume it was YOUR child. You still want to protect the rights of the kidnapper?

Now a real world story. Friend was a Buffalo fireman. A short time after Rodney King got pummeled, we were talking about it, and he said in Buffalo alone there was probably one Rodney King A DAY. Said without occasional ‘street justice’ the criminals would have no fear of the consequences of their crimes. Now when arrested the baddies will spit on the cops, with little fear of retribution. It was actually a big deal during the pandemic. You can think the cops just go around beating up random innocent folks. I don’t.

You haven't answered any of mine.

Show me a cop who gives out "street justice" and I'll show you a cop who should be in jail. Does that answer your question?

I am never in favor of violating due process and the 4th Amendment, which is what torture does. Torture has never been a reliable means of collecting information, makes confessions unreliable and untruthful and cops never know where the line is, and always want to push the limits of what they can get away with. Torture at Guantanamo Bay after 9-11 didn't make us any safer, and didn't get any of the suspects any closer to justice.

So back to you:

Scenario #1: A person is taken in to custody on suspicion of kidnapping and he confesses to kidnapping a kid who will be fed alive to some fell beast. So we beat a confession and location of his liar out of him and rescue said bonnie lad. But the courts drop all criminal charges due to the 4th Amendment and due process violations. We save the kid, but the kidnapper walks free.

Scenario #2: A person is taken in to custody on suspicion of kidnapping and he confesses to kidnapping a kid who will be fed alive to some fell beast. So we try to convince him, perhaps with reduced charges or prison sentence, to confess to the location of his liar, but to no avail. The fell beast feeds on the carcass of the poor lad. The kidnapper is convicted and given a life or perhaps a capital sentence.

Which would SooPoo prefer?

Here's the funny thing. Procedure was followed in the Rodney King thing. But all America was shown was the last few seconds looped. The passengers in King's car were not touched. Even when they got him cuffed he was still charging the cops. All of this is why they were found not guilty. Of course, Bush41 helped see to it that they were put in legal double jeopardy via different federal charges.

Let them keep defending the human trafficer. Vance will just win more states in 28.

You want me to say what's best for me, is best for the whole system? Not gonna happen. Sure, in every instance you can present, I can tell you an answer that's best for me which might be different than what I think should happen overall.

Almost every person would prefer the system do what's best for their personal reasons. Biden pardoning his son. Hostage families in Israel favoring their held family member possibly over what's best for the country. People pleading that our government is not doing enough to free someone from an unfriendly country, when that person did something ignorant or stupid to end up there.

cont.

And actually what you said about me being personally endangered... well, Trump just allowed white people he said were targeted in S. Africa to come live in US. Probably people not much different from you or me.

I suspect he still doesn't believe in the greater principle that anyone vulnerable especially needs their rights protected, and anyone can become one of the vulnerable.

I don't know if what he did was legit but he was very helpful to my rights argument. The Jews became vulnerable in Nazi Germany, did they not? Same idea.

Two California women are suing Newell Brands, the maker of Rubbermaid, saying the company failed to disclose that its products may release microplastics into food.

The class-action lawsuit alleges that the company has misrepresented some of its containers as "microwave safe," "microwave reheatable," and "freezer safe," even though they pose a danger of leaching microplastics into food when microwaved or frozen.

"Defendant has duped consumers nationwide out of millions of dollars, placing their health and welfare in jeopardy," the complaint says, according to USA Today.

"Sadly, this also includes millions of families specifically targeted for purportedly safe on-the-go school and work meals, and vulnerable children for whom ingesting microplastics is especially dangerous."

Meanwhile in LA, riots continue.

Democrats are of course, supporting the thugs as usual.

Laughable thing is they are waving Mexican and other flags yet are mad at being deported to the countries who's flags they are waving. You cannot make this stuff up.
