You can throw that play book out with the constitution. Trump formed what is essentially a "new" political party, MAGA, by co-opting the republicans and he did it without any prior political experience, no rising through the political ranks. He epitomizes the "amateur" you refer to, and yet...here we are. |

Ah, therein lies the rub. The party he joined is no longer the party of Ronald Reagan and Bush, it has veered widely from its former tenets. As I stated he has co-opted the republican party: it's akin to a pimp wooing a church girl and via manipulation turning her into a whore. The key take away from this mess is that it is all the work of a man without a history of running for office prior to seeking the presidency: sort of like Ike, but then Ike didn't dodge serving his country by phonying up a false claim of bone spurs. You wanted him? You got him. |

Sure did want him, we are lucky to have him. As to the GOP "veering" well lefties like yourself said the same when Reagan was in office. Here is the thing----we don't seek or care about your approval. The bigger party veer is the Democrat Party which was the party of JFK but is now just a group of left wing radicals. War is peace. I'm neither progressive nor democrat, I merely believe Trump is morally, ethically and mentally unfit to represent me. Yeah, I know..."talk to the hand." WGAS what I think? I simply like to vent about the abject stupidity of American politics, no matter who is in office, they almost all suck. But Trump...a convicted felon, serial cheater, draft dodger...a new low. |
