Sure, "hardened" criminals can accept and deal with it but "casual" criminals freak out when those bars slam on them.

I am guessing that is why the recidivism rate is so low?

What really happens is most people who commit crimes are more "wild" when they are younger. Trying to find their way in the criminal world. As they get to their late-20s and age 30 they either "grow out" of a life of crime or they get a more "stable" crime hustle. For example, they graduate from stealing cars to running the body shop that chops them up which is harder to get caught at.

Oklahoma farmer killed by water buffalo he bought just a day prior, police say
Jul. 14, 2025, 12:26 PM EDT
Two "aggressive" water buffaloes fatally attacked an Oklahoma man before confronting — and delaying — police and firefighters who responded to care for the victim, authorities said Monday.

Did not like Oklahoma?

You "guessed"wrong, oh Oracle of Density.

The recidivism rate in the US is actually quite high, with a substantial percentage of formerly incarcerated individuals being rearrested within a few years of release.

A Department of Justice analysis of recidivism rates in 24 states found that 66% of individuals released from state prisons were rearrested within three years, and 82% were rearrested at least once within 10 years, according to the Bureau of Justice Assistance.

Boy, are you dense to miss obvious sarcasm. Then again you sold your stocks at a huge loss last spring because you hated the Trump tariffs so no surprise.

Liar liar pants on fire:you weren't being sarcastic you simply were talking out of your ass and once again I did a GOTCHA!

Too easy.

As for your second lie: WTF are you talking about: the only stocks I sold this past spring were part of my prearranged 2025 RMD's for personal and inherited IRA's and some "minor housekeeping" moves.

I don't need the money but the gov't says redeem some of the IRA assets and pay tax "or else:" my decision had nothing to do with tariffs.

Maybe you're confusing me with the MAGA insiders who almost certainly shorted the market on the eve of the oaf's tariff announcements?

Nope. Anyone with a high school reading level education could see the tone of the rest of what I wrote and see the sarcasm in it. Yiu are covering up that you missed it.

You were on here screaming you "lost money" when the market was down. That means you sold and took a loss. If you were just upset it was down you would have said "my positions are down."

Why should I let you put words in my mouth?

I lost money on paper, i.e. I lost value: just like I am losing money today in the market.

Well, for those who need more reasons to deport people…though I think he is a citizen.

Quote:
Koukal told CBS News that she used Facebook to find a food vendor for her daughter's party. She was contacted by a man named Arnold Vallejo, who claimed to run Arnold's Taco Truck.

She signed a contract and sent him $390 for a deposit via Zelle, about half of what the service was expected to cost. But as the party date approached, communication slowed. And her final call to confirm the event was never returned.

"Nothing. And then the afternoon, nothing, and the evening, nothing," Koukal said, "and then I started to get sick to my stomach. I could not sleep."

CBS News Chicago was able to reach the food vendor by phone. He said he'd been hospitalized, which is why he missed the party, and promised to refund her $390 deposit. But reporters found other customers had similar issues dating back years.

In 2022, another customer filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, claiming the truck never showed up and Vallejo didn’t communicate or provide any food.

Vallejo denied that the BBB report was about his business, but the contact details matched photos from his Facebook page. Koukal also said she spoke with other Facebook users who said that Vallejo had ghosted them too.

Though I could actually agree with Trump on deporting US citizens who are career criminals, or very bad, as at least it makes sense, it’s not constitutional, so no go. Not sure where they would go except the ocean.

I just pick things that interest me at the moment, since I have no idea what anyone else likes. "interest" may be the wrong word. Catch my eye, maybe.
