That’s EXACTLY what my wife called Trump last night. Bully and a coward. Even though both are clearly pejorative terms, there are attributes of both that a leader must embrace. The bully is willing to exert his strength over adversaries weaker than him. You of course hope it is done for good reasons and not just ‘because I can’. And the coward will shy away from a conflict for fear. Avoiding conflicts that will cause yourself more harm than benefit is good.

Interesting interpretation, but not quite what I had in mind.

I view the oaf as being a bully because he uses leverage to pick on people and countries who not in a position to defend themselves effectively for reasons important to him but not important to America as a whole; it's a classic "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

He's an egotistical self-centered son of a bitch.

The cowardace became evident when he falsely claimed he had bone spurs to dodge being drafted to serve his country: a real patriot would never have done such a cowardly thing.

Nothing he's done since then atones for that: he's tainted and it set him on his path.

Alas, he's great at bull shitting and mind-fucking: that got him where he is today.

Maybe it's something about your fellow Americans or your education system. Really barely anyone this side of the pond is fooled by him, including Putin, Xi and most non-American man on the street.
As his cognitive decline advances, we just despair that you guys are so taken in.

Don't imagine that he's the sole practitioner of the BS and MF. he has a support network of family and close confidentes. As he declines they will (further) mutate from being supporters to controllers and wannabe heirs. When he carks it, we'll see them fight for the throne. Some might already be working to undermine him, letting him snooze and make a dick of himself, to advance his fall from grace. Expect him to have his 'et tu Brutus' moment.

I believe he got elected in 2016 due to his cronies effectively using algorithms / social media to influence voters.

He's not tech-savvy himself, but his hangers on, parasites, and enablers (including Russia) involved in his elections most certainly were much more skilled at mental subterfuge than the democrats.

The sad fact is that Americans are getting more mentally lazy and unable to think critically: this opens the door to having their ideas spoon-fed and influenced by others.

I suspect that his believing that he's in the driving seat will be his undoing. Notice how more and more he's reading from scripts that he clearly never wrote and often struggles to read. And then, of course he ad-libs his old lies and nonsense bullet points about winning swing states by 'a lot' and all those wars he resolved and the trillions in tariffs pouring into the country. Etc. Etc.
MSM normalises it, edits out the rambling, 'weave' and nobody calls him out in real time, anymore. If they do, the next day's media just report the insults he threw and the lies go uncommented on.

Good news, though...... President of the US takes a heavy toll on the health of the incumbent. He'll be aging faster than the average old guy.

Not only Maduro:

Practically the entire Venezuela military were drug-trafficking.

I don't think Trump likes drugs.

It's not like they're going to stop.

Maduro is a louse and good riddance, but why not be honest: admit it was done to control the oil; not just so our corporations can have at it, but perhaps more importantly to prevent it from being shipped to one of our two true enemies: China.

As for doing it due to cocaine: meh.

It was pointed out previously that almost all of the coke coming to the USA goes through Colombia, not Venezuela; both have ports on the Gulf of America (*chortle, guffaw*), so why not attack Colombia?

Fentanyl comes from Mexico: why not attack them?

The answer: they have no oil or minerals of real interest.

Oh, and the fact that a country is leftist means little: hello, Cuba, our commie neighbor about 90 or so miles offshore for more than 50 years.

There's some sort of high comedy going on. I keep hearing talk about different things we need to do to help or steer Venezuela, but no practical example, like Trunp or Rubio saying they put out this order and who did what or didn't do.

This is a funny way of running a country.

For OnceDear:

British Ask If Trump Can Please Do That Same Thing With Keir Starmer
Quote:
LONDON, UK — In the wake of the swift capture and extradition of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, millions of ordinary British citizens have asked if Trump could please come do that same thing with Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

According to numerous on-the-street interviews, Brits across the United Kingdom have all come together in the last 36 hours to ask if there's any possible way that Trump could just once more do that thing where he sends in Delta Force commandos to arrest a tyrant.

"What I wouldn't give to see Trump post a pic of that blighter Starmer safely held aboard the USS Iwo Jima," sighed Edward Smith, a local British man. "Would give a jolly buck-up to the old morale, it would. I know Venezuela's got oil, but we have neat accents and Benedict Cumberbatch. Don't forget about your old friends in England, Mr. Trump.
