So will the polls be up for Trump in a couple weeks or not? Any guesses.

It’s really a guess! Some ‘opposition leaders’ in Venezuela effusively praising Maduro’s capture. Now the country can be truly ‘free’. It’s a biggie for Trump that supposedly we didn’t have any American casualties.

My AI search found almost no one believes Maduro actually won any of the elections he claims to have won.

I hope Maduro’s trial is televised live.

3 more years of Trump!

One can like the result of something without ever agreeing with the process that got you there. If only results matter, then process doesn't matter.

But I don't subscribe to that idea when it comes to being governed. It's a clear path to abuse.

What a great question!
I paraphrased it to my fave AI which said...

"The invasion of Venezuela and the capture of Maduro may boost Trump's popularity among his supporters who favor strong military action and regime change, viewing it as a decisive move against a dictator. However, it could also lead to backlash from those who oppose military interventions and believe it lacks legal justification, potentially polarizing public opinion further."

I guess it will come down to the price of gas, plus any unanticipated consequences?

If this doesn't sufficiently distract from the Epstein files, how will he double down? A move on Greenland?

Columbia? Venezuela?
Oh hum. Same difference. Neither are Epstein Island.

Oops.

Some say this is a violation of international law.

Hopefully the UN and the international world court will declare that the fat oaf and Hegseth are war criminals and issue warrants for their arrest.

Love to see them handcuffed and blindfolded, same as they did to Maduro.

This country has gone to hell.

The President of Ecuador. Praises the attack.
The President of Argentina. Lauds our actions.
The Nobel PEACE PRIZE winner. 100% in favor.

That’s a quick look.

It’s not clear yet if this will end up being ‘good’ or ‘bad’.

So 2 are country leaders that have been brown nosing Trump for the last year for trade deals and to grow their influence?

And, 1 is the political enemy of Maduro in Venezuela who has been trying to get him out so they can run for President? (This is not a random Nobel Prize winner to cite.). Can you cite a Nobel Peace Prize winner outside of a local Venezuelian opposition leader who supports the attack?

I am not sure these three citations are truly unbiased individuals that are empirically looking at the long term effects for the region...

I thought MAGA wanted to be isolationist, i.e. "America First?"

Hmmm...got to think the new interpretation of the term means "North and South America First."

How much you want to bet that in his zeal to be seen as a significant leader the fat oaf will modify "The Monroe Doctrine" to now be "The Trump Doctrine?"

Just wait for it...

TDS.

‘Brown nosing Trump? If you really meant trying to work with the hemisphere’s (and world’s) economic and military leader for the betterment of their country, then yeah, I agree with you. And right now there is only one most recent Nobel Peace Prize winner. Heck, she won it Specifically FOR her opposition of Maduro. She won it over the guy who ended the Israeli/Hamas war.

You want her to be unbiased? You want the Presidents of Ecuador and Argentina to be unbiased? Sorry, but they are supposed to biased in favor of the people of South America.

Bottom line is you can find a laundry list of people who wanted Maduro out. And a list of zero who wanted Maduro to continue his dictatorial reign. But there was only one person with the balls (or recklessness?) to actually do something about it

By the way, the country has been officially renamed

TRUMPZUELA.

Still no evidence Maduro's government is not in charge. Maduro's vice President is defying Trump.
