Imagine the gridlock our country will be under with TWO YEARS of Democrat House/Democrat Senate/…. and Trump! The Dems won’t be able to override a veto, thus wont be able to use ‘reconciliation’ to bypass the filibuster. And Jeffries will enjoy ignoring his Republican colleagues at every turn. I’m trying to imagine a scenario where majority leaders Jeffries and Ocasio Cortez come up with ANYTHING Trump will sign! |

I am think when (if?) this happens it will be Trump led gridlock. The Dems will try and pass bill after bill to make Trump look bad for not signing them. (Unless the filibuster prevents ANYTHING from reaching his desk). As long as they don’t ’close the government’ I’m generally in favor of gridlock. It is rare that anything Congress gives us now improves anything. |

I did notice. I’m disagreeing. I think it will be Trump led gridlock. The Congress is solely responsible for writing the bills that turn into laws when the President signs them. They will write lots of bills for Trump to veto. As many say here, we’ll have to get the popcorn out. |

Such a gridlock will be far better than what we have going on now. |

Classic projection. Each Sanctuary State should be forced to pay the federal red taxpayers back in full, plus interest. Each taxpaying red should get a lump sum payment for the "Sanctuary State" fraud that gave foreign criminals red taxpayer money. Sanctuary States are financially and criminally liable to federal taxpaying reds for the criminals they aided and abetted. By law, reds are not required to pay a federal tax premium for foreign nor domestic criminals. All cost incurred for ICE, related to Sanctuary State criminals, should also be reimbursed to federal taxpaying reds. With the projected amount of cash the criminals stole from the reds for being a Sanctuary State, each taxpaying red could get a $100,000 check in the mail, possibly $1,000,000 or higher. Red taxpayer restitution is the only thing I see that can prevent a civil war. And the robbers want to steal more from taxpaying reds since they're still Sanctuary States. Eventually, the Sanctuary States won't be called Sanctuary States. They'll be classified like the other States, where they obey the law and the theft will end. ![]() ^^^ CA will easily surpass $1 trillion in theft from federal red taxpayers. |

| DoubleGold Member since: Jan 26, 2023 Threads: 34 Posts: 4237 | Trump went out of his way to have the Sanctuary States documented with an executive order: Those Governors responsible for the theft from red federal taxpayers have the risk of eventually being arrested. Here's the executive order: "PROTECTING AMERICAN COMMUNITIES FROM CRIMINAL ALIENS" https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/04/protecting-american-communities-from-criminal-aliens/ -------------- Justice Department Publishes List of Sanctuary Jurisdictions Tuesday, August 5, 2025 . . . STATES: California Colorado Connecticut Delaware District of Columbia Illinois Minnesota Nevada New York Oregon Rhode Island Vermont Washington . . . https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-publishes-list-sanctuary-jurisdictions ------------------ The restitution for theft will likely come from those States. So I'd expect Sanctuary State legal taxpayers, to pay for the money stolen with money that wasn't stolen. If a red lived in a Sanctuary State, then the red could have both, had the money stolen and have to pay it back, or have twice the damage. |

C'mon, man...you know where to go...the Left Coast, specifically So. Cal., east LA. That is where ground zero should be: put the ICE boots on the ground where they'll actually do some good...assuming they avoid getting shot by a more formidable foe than in Minneapolis. Oh wait...I think I know why the focus is on the frozen north instead of in Taco Town: institutional cowardice and of course political opportunism. |

Not only focusing on Minnesota. ICE is conducting operations in 45 states, plus DC. and making more than 1,000 arrests per day. 'Nearly half (48%) of these arrests happen out of local jails and other lock-ups.' 'ICE says more than 600 illegal aliens arrested in West Virginia during 2-week surge' 7,500 arrested in NYS last year. More than half fin NYC. Without state or local cooperation. |
