had to finally look this up about a name in the Bible. This led to questions about family

>>>

Is there an Oprah in the Bible?

There is no Oprah in the Bible. There is a woman named Orpah in the Book of Ruth. She and Ruth were daughters-in-Law of Naomi. Naomi told both of them to return to their families.
__

Does Oprah have a relationship with her mother?

Oprah Winfrey and her mother didn't have a good relationship, but decades later they reconciled
__

What happened to Oprah Winfrey's child?

At 13, after suffering what she described as years of abuse, Winfrey ran away from home. When she was 14, she became pregnant, but her son was born prematurely and died shortly after birth. Winfrey later stated she felt betrayed by the family member who had sold the story of her son to the National Enquirer in 1990

What states banned candy cigarettes?

Only one US jurisdiction, North Dakota, has ever banned candy cigarettes. (That ban in 1953 was repealed in 1967.)

I assumed they had two livable months and then it was below 70 every day.

discussion on CNBC this morn about this phrase, there is disagreement

>>>

Where did the expression "the whole kit and caboodle" come from?

Apparently, the phrase began as “the whole kit and boodle.” Kit meaning collection and boodle is thought to have derived from the Old-English word for bottel – meaning a bunch or bundle. Researchers believe the phrase morphed to “kit and caboodle” for alliterative purposes
__

What is the etymology of caboodle?

The root of caboodle is probably the older phrase "kit and boodle," and the Dutch boedel, "property." "Caboodle." Vocabulary.com Dictionary, Vocabulary.com, https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/caboodle.

the US made ATACMS missiles that Ukraine used to attack Russian territory are pronounced as if saying "attack 'ems" apparently, according to the Wikipedia page, which shows əˈtækəmz for pronunciation

I was surprised that Russia could shoot them down, thinking that only the US and some other Western powers had that capability. But I should have known better, Russia always tries to keep up

How effective Russian defense was against them is disputed:

[Of six] ... the Russian Defense Ministry wrote on its official Telegram page, five... were downed and the sixth damaged...

A U.S. official provided a differing account of the strike, saying Russia intercepted two of eight total ATACMS missiles launched by Ukraine. The other six were assessed to have hit an ammunition storage site in Karachev, the official said.

How good are Russian air defense systems?

The Russian S-400 is considered one of the world's most advanced air-defense systems, but in Russia's invasion of Ukraine, multiple units have been destroyed, including by older Western weapons the system should be able to handle [how about the status of S-300VM systems? see next]
__

[found by looking further into link found by searching]

S-300VM: The S-300VM is a Russian anti-ballistic missile system designed to target short and medium-range ballistic missiles, aeroballistics missiles, cruise missiles, fixed-wing aircraft, loitering ECM platforms, and precision-guided munitions. This system is made by Almaz-Antey and its missile has a range of 200 kilometers and can reach targets at an altitude of up to 30 kilometers.

Does Russia have a missile defense system?

Today, Russia deploys several systems that can provide layered missile defense across its territory. The A-135 system deployed around Moscow is currently Russia's only system designed specifically to defend against ICBMs

Is Iron Dome [Israel] better than Patriot?

Iron Dome - Wikipedia
Although the Patriot has broader coverage, the low cost of UAVs and operational scenarios they would be encountered in would make Iron Dome equally effective against them
__

Can Iron Dome intercept hypersonic missile?

But, although the Iron Dome has successfully intercepted rockets and other smaller aerial projectiles fired by Hamas and Hezbollah from Gaza and Lebanon, respectively, it is yet untested against a “real” threat, such as advanced hypersonic missiles.

From a Reddit

Everything you tell an airline reservation agent is noted in your flight itinerary: threats, lying, false claims, demands, and the list goes on and on. Whatever you say will be there for the next agent to see when you call back. Most people should know this, but few do. So, the next time you try lying to your agent, just know that they know."

Someone is calling the airline to book a flight? I didn’t know you could still do that.
