Mary Trump had some unkind words for Uncle Donny today.

Quote:
“This f***king maniac likely gave [Vladimir] Putin (who gave Iran, who gave Hamas) Israel’s national security secrets….,”

She seems to be an attention whore like her Uncle.

I can understand how and why the Palestinians hate Israel.

C/mon, man: how would YOU like it if the World Powers decided that you, the Palestinians, no longer get to live in what you thought was YOUR homeland: they make you attempt to coexist with the Jews, who were given the land by the World Powers as atonement for WWII.

So far as I can tell the Palestinians didn't want them there, they didn't agree to allowing them to take over, and they've been sucking hind tit ever since.

Not saying the Jews are bad; am saying I understand the hatred.

Every country in history has a controversial founding. Some you just need to go back further than others. Frankly Israel is not nearly as bad as many, and while it may be understandable for the original owners to be upset, it was legal.

The Ottoman Empire lost WWI, which gave the U.K. the rights to the land, and they decided to gift it for a Jewish homeland (and they also did not seem thrilled with trying to manage a nonprofitable land filled with conflict, so part of it may have been laziness, "hey lets just give it to them" type thing.) Of course, they do not want them there, 99% of the region does not want Jews. Go to an Islamic Country if you want to see true antisemitism. This is why the neighbors have been invading Israel for decades (also they thought it would be an easy conquest after U.K. was 100% out.)

I think someone will come claim your land in most places if you can't make some case of using it or improving it.

This concept is supported in law by the doctrine known as "Adverse Possession."

I thought Israeli civilians were armed to the teeth, since basically in reality they are half of them reservists anyway, men and women ... and they went around with these guns. I was misinformed? Things changed?

The photos you think of are on-duty Reservists often carrying their weapons during breaks. Israel actually has very strict carry laws for regular citizens who are not on duty.

Getting a private (non-duty) weapon is very challenging in Israel, and forget about public carrying.... However, it is true that the only people who can apply for weapons ownership are those who completed their required service (if required to do so, which is basically every non-disabled person man or woman in Israel), so everyone who does own a weapon does have some connection to the military. But yeah, Israel is not a country where everyday people own (let alone carry) guns a lot (and you really do not need to, because there are frequent police and military checkpoints, and lots of police and military presence.)

The situation is thus. You wake up in the morning to a horde of armed men coming into your neighborhood. Someone with a gun and family has to consider whether he and his family will all die if he starts firing on the invaders, or some will live if he doesn't.

Which do you choose without knowing for sure?

You might all die anyway if you don't fire, but you may get your whole family killed as well if you do as they will all surely descend on you.

If you're alone you can go down shooting if you wish. But a lot of people had to consider their family members as well.

We have seen for some time that the lefties are against personal freedom with their all the rules they forcing the population to bend to their will: wear masks, close schools, get rid of your gas stove, get an electric car, ..... We have seen that like all communists they are against religion and they have attacked the Christian churches and their beliefs. Now we also see in full force that they are also anti-Semitic as all good Communists are. It is one thing to feel that the Palestinians might deserve more say in what happens in Israel. It is quite another to either hold support rallies or say nothing about the Hamas attack against civilians where 100s have been killed, raped and tortured. Hama has even gone so far as taking the victims phones and posting the murders and rapes on the persons own Facebook page where their families and kids will see it.

The lefties and Universities that were up in arms about Floyd have been silent about the terror that is going on.

These are the people that control Joe Biden the worst president in history.

I don't think more armed people are ever the answer. More armed police and military certainly are. Israel actually has a pretty good checkpoint system. Even as bad as things are right now (and in general,) the rate is far safer than America. Israel does a good job both managing a country and managing very uncertain borders (to put it very lightly.)

They need a specific siren for breaching the border, not just rocket attacks. Knowing that specific alarm is sounding would get me on my toes real fast in the morning.

Israel could end up fighting this war on three fronts. Which will be very difficult for them.

That didn't take long.
