I don't think America is more safe after these bombings. It's now worse for common bombings, and terrorism. Unless Iran capitulates. Or its government collapses.

It is definitely less safe. If the straight gets contested this week, economy is going to be disrupted. Iran has many terror cells in the U.S. that have been waiting decades for something like this for activation.

My prediction is gas prices (and hence almost everything else,) will spike over the next two weeks. Then in about 2-3 weeks (I feel like July 10th is the date, somewhere around there anyway.) when the next batch of big tariffs go into effect another big spike on everything. This is going to be a very chaotic and expensive summer between prices and terror attacks.

We are probably entering the most unsafe and expensive summer in at least 20 years.

I hope I am wrong, this is not something that I will be thrilled about being correct on (especially because I had quite a bit of travel that I desired to do, and depending on how the next two weeks go, I may decide to avoid travel for some time.)

In the past you have been remarkably poor at predicting things having to do with Trump.

I hope the US has a strong naval presence near the strait, both land based planes, ships and subs, as Iran will once again want to mine the area and shoot at passing tankers, and really, who can blame them?

One would think that the all powerful US military would be able to detect and swat down any Iranian ships attempting to do this, and also destroy any Iranian forces who dare to challenge them.

I don't believe Iran is capable of a full war, even their proxies can only do terrorist attacks. I read the Houthis told Iran to pound sand yesterday when they asked for help.

Frankly, I would have thought you could just say ‘Geez guys, sorry I was wrong’.

I told my lawn guy I’d get him a check within a week. I happened to see him the next day, ran inside and wrote him the check. Surprisingly, he took it without calling me a liar.

I do expect Iran to target as many soft western targets as they can. A mall here, synagogue there, a hospital elsewhere. I’m sure the same imbeciles who are pro Hamas/Palestine will show up in favor of the new terrorist attacks. It will be interesting to see if they also go after US allies like France, Britain, Germany

My understanding is that the U.S. was trying to schedule an immediate meeting with Iran officials for two days but they got no response.
