The city has taken 42,000 illegal scooters off the streets since 2022. All the bikes in this photo have either been destroyed, or will be destroyed..

Sheltered life, eh?

Easiest way is to access their cash benefits at participating ATM and retail store locations.

Another way, and still very common, is to get a willing bodega owner to ring up say $200 in fake EBT purchases. The bodega owner then gives $100 cash to the recipient and keeps $100 for himself. There is no limit to the number of times a recipient can use their card for SNAP benefit transactions. Bodega owners make a killing doing this.

And how much time will it take to accrue enough cash, assuming unused benefits forfeit to the state after a year AND bodega owners take 50% of each transaction?

You;re just making boogeymen out of food stamp recipients.

So where is the evidence the posted receipt is real?

Any evidence this receipt is nothing more than a forgery to rile up the anti-immigration bigots? I mean, the amount on this receipt is extraordinary, and extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Could be fake, but probably not.

Not extraordinary if they're living off the cash they make from their jobs. Not unusual for delivery people to clear $400 - $600 in tips per week. They live off the cash, and 'bank' the SNAP benefits.

What part of 'the unused balance rolls over' don't you understand?

Just like the accusations that JD Vance is gay, could be fake, but probably not.

If what the USDA says is accurate, and benefits are carried over to the next month, then with maximum benefits, a recipient who is living off the cash from working a job of the books can accrue $13K on his EBT card in a little over three years.

There is no evidence the receipt is real, but it can easily be real.

This is not new.

'Target 11 investigates food stamp balance of $12K' - 2013

CALL 6: Dozens have excessive EBT balances -2016

'Among the highest balances include a $11,494.84 balance belonging to a Marion County SNAP recipient, a $12,450.16 balance on a Hamilton County user’s card, and $17,100.87 belonging to a SNAP user in St. Joseph County.'

I used 50% as an example. I've seen Bodegas take less. Bodegas are absolute gold mines.

First of all, unused benefits are not forfeited to the state after a year. They roll over.

Benefits are permanently removed if the recipient has not used their EBT card at all for one year.

From the USDA link.

'Any benefits that clients have remaining in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Electronic benefit transfer (EBT) account at the end of the month will be carried over in the next month. However, if clients have not used their EBT card at all for one year, the state will permanently remove their SNAP benefits from their EBT account.'

How many of these people are Trump supporters.
Don't forget about the country ghetto that supports Trump and these benefits
What did Trump do about these benefits when he was President. Probably didn't do Jack because he didn't want to starve his people

Non-Hispanic White people accounted for 44.6% of adult SNAP recipients and 31.5% of child recipients in 2020. About 27% of both adult and child recipients were Black. Hispanic people, who can be of any race, accounted for 21.9% of adult recipients and 35.8% of child recipients.

Your standard response any time you're stumped.

It doesn't matter whether the receipt in the photo is real or not. You cannot understand that and continue to obsess over it.

The fact is, SNAP recipients can 'bank' their monthly credits into the thousands of dollars, as the USDA and the 2013 and 2016 reports show.
