Kamala Harris meets the qualifications to assume the office of President. Now she has to get elected.

Her sex, race, age, etc. make no difference...people should not see it as a reason to vote "for" or "against" her.

Positions on issues and results of actions she supported as VP, as a previous candidate, and in other offices are what matter.

Yes, she will talk about the side show of Trump's legal issues. He caused many of his own problems; he gets no sympathy for me on those issues.

Both of them will win or lose based on convincing a relatively small sliver of the voting population in very few states that they are the best person to be President now.

The Democrats have hitched their wagon to her and there is a lot than can be said about that process. The Republicans have hitched to a person that I wish was not running. He won, but I wish he had not entered the race this year.

I've pretty much stayed away from commenting here because it is pretty worthless with the low participation rate overall and the fact that everyone (including me in some cases, of course) is pretty much in a corner and not willing to change a thing. My efforts will mostly be outside of social media actually talking to people and not at them. I do keep reading because I really do try to see things from different points of view.

I first saw one of these receipts posted 10 years ago. It was during the one of the many "welfare queen" scares. No verification, no proof, just manipulated pictures that are ascribed to whatever fear we are trying to promote at the time.
