The "right wing" media that I see says stuff about ALL of the issues with illegal immigrants running past our border.

Just today one of them interviewed an illegal immigrant who has a wife and one child. He said that he was getting a free living space, his wife works, he doesn't work, and they get free child care.

If we can't give those things to all of our actual citizens, why do we give them to people who paid the cartel to come here?

I fully understand that we NEED immigrants. Vetted, properly admitted immigrants. People that can live out in the open without fear of being deported unless they break the law. People that deserve a path to citizenship eventually.

II have my doubts we will get a real solution because Congress would actually have to work to come up with a true compromise. They'd have to allow amendments to be offered. Those folks are pretty much just taking pay for doing little. They willing cede their power to the Executive Branch by doing nothing.

They have a labor force to patrol the border. Hire some of those same illegal immigrants to do it on a work permit. Surely they can find some appropriate jobs for them to assist border patrol.

Won't happen. Tons of vetting to get a border control job. And why would we be hiring illegal aliens when we have our own citizens to do the job?
