The Lefty idea that politically useful rioting and violence should be dismissed as mere 'demonstrating' and the the perpetrators of violence should be not arrested or if arrested, let go, like is typically done with non-violent civil disobedience demonstrators, is revolting to any normal person. Poor OD was evidently being told in the UK that violent people were being arrested and prosecuted over here. They tried that in the US Media too ...
