I hope that Republicans are staging a coup against Trump, but sadly they have been completely cowardly, so I am doubtful.

You scream about "Jan 6" but now want a coup?

A coup in the context of congress means voting them into irrelevancy. It does not mean a physical coup. This is clearly what the article is talking about.

State trial. No get out of jail card from Trump.

Quote:
A judge in New York has set a December trial date for Steve Bannon's role in the "We Build the Wall" fundraising fraud case in court, the Manhattan district attorney's office said Wednesday.

The trial for Bannon, Donald Trump's former adviser, is scheduled to start Dec. 9, shortly after he is done serving a four-month federal prison term following his conviction on contempt of Congress charges in connection with a House committee's Jan. 6 investigation.
Trump is not a genius; you're just dumb.

What planet are you from? The man just won the free and fair election for President. Won the EC by around 100. Won the popular vote by millions. You think someone not ‘staging a coup’ against him is cowardly? There was an election. Live with the results. Have more votes for the candidate you like next time. It is better than your plan of staging a coup.

I would not be against a complete overthrow of our government. In fact, I think I should probably ascent from prophecy to the great czar of this country. I can be the next Vernon Howell.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent.

A lot has been said about how bad tariffs are. NEVER mentioned is the fact that for every dollar collected from a foreign country via tariffs, that is one less dollar we need to collect from a U.S. citizen. Or one less dollar in the national debt.

I think Trump’s bluster about the size and punitive nature of tariffs is probably bad policy. But a tariff is just another way for us to fund our bloated federal budget. I think a reasonable economist would find use for some of them.

And no, Trump is unlikely to be the guy whose judgment is trust on the matter.

Apparently a planet that can read the article you posted.

Again, I am responding to your article about GOP performing a coup against Trump. I am not saying their should be a violent coup against Trump. You can't post an article talking about GOP legislators planning a political coup (not my language,) and then get upset when I say I hope they do but probably will not.....

The fact that you are twisting it to, to minimize 06JAN is quite ironic.... Only one party attempted a coup in my lifetime (actually all of American history.) This is like next level gaslighting.

You obviously don't understand tarriffs
These are penalties the American consumer has to pay.
Say Walmart buys widgets from China at 100 dollars a widget.
China gets that 100 per item. Cost 80 to make and need 20 profit to stay in business so they charge 100
That doesn't change. They get 100 per regardless
Walmart moves the product they purchased to the US
Upon entry to port , Walmart has to pay a 20 dollar tarriff to the US govt.
Now that widget has cost Walmart 120 instead of 100.
Walmart now sells the widget to American customers for 140 to make a 20 profit per widget.
Without the 20 tarriff , Walmart would sell the widget for 120 instead of 140. The price has gone up
WMT sells less widgets hurting WMT and China supplier because now selling less items due to higher price. World trade is hurt because less widgets produced and sold due to higher prices
I have WMT , LOW and HD stock
Tarriffs will hurt these companies because they have to raise prices
Get it now.
Govt does get more money from tarriffs but company tax revenue down because selling less widgets due to higher prices which increases inflation

China threatens their own tarriffs
Now US Soybean farmers are hurt
Brazil produces 35% of world's soybeans
USA produces 33% of world's soybeans
Chinese buyers now flock to Brazil to buy soybeans
China has imposed tarriffs on US soybeans
Chinese companies will buy from Brazil because soybeans are cheaper. Soybean prices go up for Brazil farmers due to increased demand but not enough to overcome the tarriff. If Chinese customers buy from US , they have to pay a tarriff to China govt so they stop buying from US farmers
Brazil farmers win, US farmers lose.
