What in my post makes you think she was threatening divorce? She was threatening to kill me. I took it as tongue in cheek.

The ‘86/Comey’ reference is about his being charged with threatening the President.

I assumed 86 was a code for divorce (I assumed she wouldn't literally plot to kill you lol.)

So DJT is coming to my neighborhood to give a speech. The Villages votes heavily Republican. There are innumerable golf carts plastered with his picture, campaign slogans, MAGA colors, etc….

Wifey threatened to 86 me (take that, Comey!) if I mosied on over to see him. I (sort of) would like to be a ‘people watcher’ at the event. And (sort of) would like to see the show DJT puts on.

But I think any large gathering featuring Trump is a target for violence. I felt that way before the luncheon last week. So in addition to not going, I won’t even golf near the speech that day. Staying away…..

I would be avoiding it just to avoid the crowds and huge hassle of dealing with the security perimeters and rules.

Me too. I picked a golf course miles away for that morning even though I’ll be done playing before 10am.

Interesting very positive remarks about Trump from Scotty Scheffler. Says he treats the groundskeeper and the caddy and the waiter the same as the golf pros. Says he adds an upbeat energy to those around him. Amazing how different his political persona is. A friends wife who is a Trumper got tickets. She may not go due to parking/crowd concerns.

Not necessarily! Depends on how you define ‘broken’! If a clock is always of by 23 minutes no matter what fix is applied, to me it’s broken, and is not ‘right’ twice a day. And if it’s a 24 hour clock that gives you either am or pm, even if fully stuck it will only be right once a day.

MrV, for a lawyer you need to be more accurate!

A moderator on WOV used this expression yesterday, I dare you to post the above message, or similar, there calling him out by screen name.

*sigh*

Lemme dumb it down for ya, doc...

By "broken clock" I of course mean a clock that does not work, one whose hands do not move.

Now, given the fact that the earth revolves once every 24 hours, and given the fact that our clocks are broken into 12 hour segments, then twice a day the time shown on the broken clock will in fact be the correct time, alebeit merely for an instant.

There, now don't you feel better?

I knew what you meant and how you meant it. I like logic exercises like I presented, with non traditional interpretations explored. So substitute the word ‘stopped’ for broken to be more accurate. And you just dismiss military time entirely….

I’m watching his live speech here in the Villages.

Like him or hate him, he is GREAT THEATER.

He knows his audience, that is for sure.

Watching and listening, it still is amazing that he is President of The United States of America.

He just relayed a story about a negotiation with Macron that if true (unlikely) would make Macron look like a fool.

And may we have the days we voted for.

Fuck Donald Trump!

that arrogant, clueless, egotistical PRICK!

He's pulling 56K troops from Germany, reacting to criticism by the Germans of his handling of the Iran Fiasco.

What an idiot...bassically giving the Krauts to green light to go nuclear.

What could go wrong?
