It doesn't, as long as she has the right training and experience for the plane she's flying. And they often don't because there just aren't many of them around so they have to hire unqualified women to fill the quota.

You sound like this feminist I was on a piece that said how few female auto mechanics there were. Woman said something like, "we have to drag the neandrathals out of the stone ages." Somebody came up with a list of jobs that have very few women and it's because they can't do the job, or they have no interest in the job. Things like lumberjack, offshore oil rig worker, power restoration crew worker, truck mechanic, plumber, skyscraper construction worker, big city sewer employee, road building, the list literally went on and on and on. Women have no interest in these jobs and even if they do most of the time they're not physically capable of it. This is why people like Serena Williams in tennis say that she can be beaten by a good male on a high school tennis team. Simply because he has physical strength that she can in no way match.

Let them compete against men BUT ON A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD.

Read my full quote, a combination of the freeze and the forced retirements. We had an Army of FAA employees on the verge of retirement, many took that package, and many more soon will, because they already had one foot out the door, and there has not been a good applicant pool to replace them (this has been a concern for the last 5 years as the retirement batch nears, this is not new or a controversial point.)

So yes, when you have a batch that far outsizes potential applicants nearing retirement, you implement a hiring freeze to not even bring on the limited applicants that exist, and you offer retirement/resignation incentives to the remaining employees (again many of whom have been ready to retire for years,) you in a couple of weeks manage to lead the country into a state where 90% of towers are undermanned.

This is why governing is complicated. When the type of people who like to go in and whimsically shake thing up get in control, they do not realize how a small decision (short freeze and resignation packages,) can have massive impacts to already on-edge programs.

And, FAA is not some government bloatware. If FAA towers start shutting down, there simply will not be flights.
