Oh Trump is a bad man, but the Sheriff is ultimately responsible here. He was charged of threatening mass violence at a school because he posted a meme of Trump saying "We just need to move on and forget about it," the day after a shooting at a school. And, replaced it to indicate we should move on from caring about Charlie Kirk. No sane person thinks he is threatening the local school. The Sheriff who coordinated his arrest is a big Charlie Kirk fanboy, and is retaliating because he posted a bunch of anti Kirk memes on the town's Kirk memorial page. My understanding is he has a lawyer, but his bail is 2mil, and he can't pay it. |

A bunch of concerned citizens reported the guy to the authorities. You are saying all of those concerned citizens are insane?!? You think the sheriff is ‘retaliating’. Most think he is ‘doing his job’. Funny you use the word ‘fanboy’. I’d say ALL the Democrat prosecutors that went after Trump did so because they were ‘fanboys’ of anything and everything Anti-Trump. But you will (foolishly) say they were ‘doing their job’. |

Yes, the people on the pro-Kirk town page were offended that a retired cop was spamming anti-Kirk stuff during their memorial page. So they reported him and the Sheriff was pressured to find some reason to arrest him. Since one of his memes was about the response to a school shooting they are alleging this is an imminent threat of school shooting. Total nonsense, and you know that too if your are being honest. The Sheriff was a self-proclaimed fan of Charlie Kirk (his words,) and very active in the memorial pages. I don't think anyone is disputing this, not even the Sheriff... Trump was never thrown in jail with a ridiculous bond while waiting for a trial. There is no equivalence. And, even if there were, whataboutism is never a valid argument in moderated debates. Trump was definitely guilty of the GA charges which is why he is fighting so hard (I know less about the other States,) this guy is not guilty of planning a school shooting. And, if you think he is, you are just a sellout to autocracy. |

It's not even close to the edge. "We have to get over it" with a photo of Trump giving the speech, was literally the meme that got him arrested. The speech was Trump telling people to get over the school shooting, and the Sheriff is claiming this is a direct threat that he was planning a school shooting. Total absurdity. Obviously, he posted this meme to his local Kirk fanclub FB group to rile them up, implying they should get over his death like Trump demanded we get over the deaths of actually innocent children. It's actually pretty clever, and in no way a threat of any kind of shooting.... Let along a planned mass school shooting as the charges allegdge. The suspect was a career police officer. I think if he was planning a mass shooting, he would not be posting memes that draw attention to himself on Facebook... Everything about this is absurd. The Sheriff is just guzzling Trump's boot and making this guys life miserable, because he can't afford bond for such a charge, he knows there is zero chance of a conviction. |

As of this afternoon, all charges were dropped after the DA reviewed the case: https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/2025/10/29/larry-bushart-arrest-charlie-kirk-memes-charges-dropped/86970944007/ Insane that he has been sitting in jail over a month because Kirk fanboy Sheriff got all huffed about a mean meme. This may be one of the most disturbing cases I have ever seen of abuse of power and retaliation. |

Like Trump he should ask for $230,000,000.00 for compensation for damages. While this sort of thing is way beyond anything I ever got involved with or researched, I would think he could, inter alia, claim it was politicaly motivated and via discovery get all of the phone and email records of the dimwit sheriff who arrested him, looking to tie it back to MAGA. Oh, the humanity... |
