2900 pages of leaked chat.

Leaders of Young Republican groups throughout the country worried what would happen if their Telegram chat ever got leaked, but they kept typing anyway.

They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.

They talk the way that we know they talk. There is a reason they are rewarded for talking that way.

The fact that many think that way is not surprising. Racism exists, and no law will ever eliminate it. What is amazing is how stupid people are in what they post to sites like that (and this one!). Every post/message/blog/ I ever have I always think of the possibility of it being made public. Trusting WhatsAp or Verizon or WoV to keep you anonymous is just silly.

You want me to link to a million or so posts from those who vote for the Tlaib’s and Omar’s and Ocasio-Cortez’s of the world calling for the extermination of Jews? It wouldn’t be hard. How about videos of them cheering for the Hamas October attack?

Despite the people who say otherwise, it's obvious the far left can't completely disassociate itself from hardline socialists and communists and also obvious the right attracts the fascists/nazi.

Yet I still have arguments with people about this.

That is very different than a group chat of district and regional leaders. These are not random people online.

We can all find endless examples of random people doing or saying whatever nonsense. But, leaders doing it in a group chat is the issue.

I hope specific names can be attached to the vitriolic racist posts. Maybe some will lose jobs, be subject to scorn, lead to investigations uncovering crimes….
Also, (hopefully) some members of the group will be more aware of what the group is actually doing, and leave the group.

I’ll bet you think that way about the Republican party, and me about the Democrat party!

I am very consistent on both parties. If there were a group of Dem district leaders who leaked saying racist and antisemitic things, I would be instantly against them.

I have no doubt you can find group chats of Democrats saying terrible things. But, I do have doubts you could find group chats of leaders and party officials openly saying such.

If somebody makes an antisemitic rant on Reddit, I don't care, I expect it to be a cesspool of trolls. If a party official made the same rant in an official group chat, I would care a lot. Context and place do matter for such things.

Specific names have been attached. Some of those people are now out of jobs.

I have yet to see organized racism and bigotry among Democratic leaders compared to GOP/MAGA leaders.

That’s because you just don’t want to. The entire DEI movement was racist in origin. The ‘I’m going to appoint a Black Woman as my next….’ Is racist. The ‘we don’t have enough people of color in this job so we’ll take more of them to even it out’ is racist. I’ll say the anointment of Kamala as Democrat Presidential nominee was racist. NO WAY if Biden’s VP was run of the mill old white guy does he get handed the nomination after all the others just drop out, realizing it’s political suicide for a Democrat to go against the ‘woman of color’.

Not saying you can’t find a lot f bad racist Republicans, but the Democrat party is the party of Race.

Now that I think about it, the Republican Party has disorganized racists sprinkled amongst their ranks. The Democrat Party is built on its racism.

Now if you want to argue which racism is worse, more vile, in general, it’s the racism directed towards Blacks, of course.

So, making sure black kids can go to all white school in the 1960s was racism?
