Saw Spectre on Prime.

Spectre was a real let down after Skyfall. I think it is just as well the Daniel Craig is turning over the reigns. I think you get one decade to do your Bond films.

Dr. No (1962)
From Russia with Love (1963)
Goldfinger (1964)
Thunderball (1965)
You Only Live Twice (1967)
Diamonds Are Forever (1971)

Live and Let Die (1973)
The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
Moonraker (1979)
For Your Eyes Only (1981)
Octopussy (1983)
A View to a Kill (1985)

Casino Royale (2006)
Quantum of Solace (2008)
Skyfall (2012)
Spectre (2015)

IMO, James Bond's played out. I quit watching somewhere in the nineties. And I've read several of the original Fleming novels (they were ok).

Daniel Craig looked odd. He was not
as handsome, he looked old. Too old
for Bond. And the story was one
we've seen a dozen times. Even the
Bond girl was very average. Casino
Royale was the best, it was downhill
with the rest.

Sean Connery was age 31 to age 41 in the canon roles, and age 53 when he made the non-canonical comeback. Daniel Craig played him from age 38 to 48. Roger Moore was age 45 to 57 and he was certainly too old.

So Craig would be 50+ if made another one.
And he's too short for Bond. In the books
he was just over 6'. All the Bonds have been
over 6'. John Cleese has been in several
Bond films and says Craig lists his height
as 5 10, but in person Cleese says he's
lucky if he's 5 8. One of the Bond girls
says Craig has to wear lifts in his shoes
in the scenes with women or some of
them would tower over him.

Unless you have recently seen the previous Daniel Craig as Bond films, "Spectre" would be very confusing. While the prior Bond's had some recurring characters/story arcs, the recent series of film's plots were very closely intertwined. One even picking up right after the other ended.

There is a car chase in Spectre that may make it worthwhile, regardless of the rest of the film. The cars are driven expertly, almost like they are floating on the wind, and the cinematography really shows them off well.

Also... "Spectre" is still the coolest name in film for the bad guys' organization.

It first appeared in 1961 in the book
Thunderball. It was in 3 more Bond
novels. Ian Fleming had no idea the
brand he was creating with James Bond.
You can have no idea how wildly popular
the first Bond movies were, unless you
were there. Especially Goldfinger in
1964. People went nuts for it, I saw
it 3 times in the theater.

I don't know why everyone assumes Daniel Craig is done playing Bond...

I think he'll be back for at least one more.

Hehe.. Sorry, but naming your bad guy organization after a fungal infection in babies is not going to generate a lot of respect.
