I don't even know what the movie is, except some sort of Oz derivative.

Quote:
Considering its signature number is called Defying Gravity, it’s unfortunate that Wicked has all the buoyancy of a grand piano being heaved off the roof of St Paul’s Cathedral. But mind your heads, folks, because here it comes, whistling down towards the pavement, and landing in the pre-Christmas cinema schedules with a tooth-splintering crash.

The two people with me and myself all agreed "A complete unknown" was the best music biopic we've seen. I've only seen the Queen one and Johnny Cash. Not saying they were bad, but this was better.

Likely to win Academy Awards I suspect.

Didn't even get 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. One of the reviews

"A Complete Unknown” never feels like much of a movie
and certainly not a biopic. Rather, it comes across as subpar,
reality-adjacent fan fiction."
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Check it out yourself didn't even get 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, lots of negative reviews.

"A hollow, contrived attempt at Bob Dylan's myth. An
empty, meandering, soulless film that pretends to explore
an artist's journey while saying absolutely nothing at all.
A wandering mess that never figures out what it wants to be."
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Those are the 20% that didn't get it. Too bad for them. Some called it the best film of the year, and seeing this is Dec 25th that's the whole year.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery

First time I have been to the theaters in a while (I think since Oppenheimer.). Director also did a Q/A after which was pretty cool.

Mystery movie about a remote church in upstate NY, where a young pastor is assigned as an assistant to an older pastor as a punishment. Don't want to say too much more to give away the story.

Part of a trilogy, this is my 2nd favorite (1st was the best still.). But, very worth watching.

Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig really have hit a string of homers with the Knives Out movies.
