I was also excited when I saw this news. Newsom can now be legitimately labeled a "gun grabber" along with Beto. "You're damn right we're going to take your AR-15's" That pretty much ended Beto in 2020 & this CA law will be a problem for Gavin in 2024. Turns out the voters in Wisconsin, Ohio & Michigan tend to like their guns. Same in MN, why do you think Klobochar always talks about her uncle the hunter when asked about firearm bills. SCOTUS will stay this CA law if written & differentiate it from TX abortion law situation based on Constitutionality. Unlike the "right" to an abortion, the right to bear arms is enumerated in the Constitution. Don't get me wrong, I really don't like the TX Abortion Law. But abortion ain't in the Bill of Rights. But tricking Gavin into jumping on the "banning AR-15's" third rail, that will pay dividends down the road. How can the Dems be so stupid when it comes to the playing the long game? And when the hell is Breyer stepping down? He is 83 for God's sake. Breyer's vote isn't going to matter in the life he has left, you don't move the needle being in the 3 or 4 vote minority. Get out while The House Plant can nominate a leftist whack job and get a 51-50 Senate confirmation done. Again, the Dem stupidity is unbelievable at times. Meadows is either dumb or knows exactly what he's doing. I believe it's the second. I think he is trying to make the release of documents look like a misjudgment rather than appearing to turn on Trump. He knows how Trump and all his supporters treat disloyalty, and it's better option to appear dumb or in error. He doesn't want to go down for what he knows, but he's trying to smooth over the unfortunate situation he is in, especially as more information comes out.
