No. I don’t think it would be suspension worthy. Just pointing out your position that snipping quotes is bad when Adam Schiff does it, perfectly acceptable when you do it. There’s a word for that. I think it starts with an H….. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Show me a violent riot and I agree that the offenders should do time. All the capital rioters doing time are being punished for a reason. They broke the law, many with violence. Show any BLM protestor that is violent, they should be charged. Unlike you I am against anybody breaking the law regardless of politics. If someone on the left breaks the law, my response is not to deflect to somebody on the right, my response is anybody breaking the law should be charged regardless of politics. Everything is political to you Not to me Enjoying the beach in conservative TX because there is more to life then politics. The Capitol building is the seat, or "home" of the nation's government. On January 6th it was well known that the Capitol was closed to visitors due to the political tension; indeed it was fenced off to keep people out. In tearing down the fences and breaking into the Capitol the douchenozzles inflamed by Trump's manipulative, inane rhetoric were attempting to burglarize the nation's house, and as we all know deadly force can and arguably should be used to repel such felons. You'd kill a black man breaking into your home without a moment's hesitation; why was this any different? |

They don't understand treason, same reason they all support the confederacy. I wish I was joking, but today I saw some old pickup truck that was wrapped with a Confederate Flag (Battle Flag), and said "Fighting Terrorists since -forget date- in a logo with a smaller Confederate Flag (Actual Confederate Flag)". The irony is palpable. I can't believe somebody would be bold enough to be seen driving in public in such a truck (they were literally driving it on a public road -with no plate-), not sitting in some museum, I was shocked that there are such idiots in the world. They simply cannot comprehend treason is the long and short of it. |

You are "shocked" because you accept if not embrace the government controlling your life and your body. I have to ask, what is the difference between the CSA declaring independence in 1861 and the USA doing it in 1776? War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

| JCW09 Member since: Aug 27, 2018 Threads: 12 Posts: 847 | No Idea what you Lefties are talking about. Yes, it was a violent riot on 1/6, that's why I used the term "riot" So what, we had similar riots all summer long in 2020. In those riots, the rioters actually did kill people, no one was killed on 1/6 by rioters. A couple of the out of shape rioters did have heart attacks and die, but just like Covid, you got to cull the heard. Really Missed, The home of government, who cares. It was a political protest that turned violent. It wasn't Pearl Harbor or 9/11. This was a bunch of unarmed losers who got caught up in the moment. Ashley Babbit gets shot, I think the circumstances around that were a bit weak, but whatever. They were climbing in a window one at a time, unarmed. But you're good shooting the Bitch, OK. Frankly, the image that AMS put up with the cop getting crushed, that is the time the Capitol Police should have sent a round down range. That certainly would have relieved the pressure of getting crushed by the revolving door. It wasn't an insurrection. It wasn't a real attempt to overthrow the government. You guys can whine and cry about the horror of the day all you want. Have the House Dems go through the political theatre of this Commission. They are good at wasting time and Trump is 2-0 when they try and convict him of anything. He'll be 3-0 when this charade is over. Keep wasting time while the polling numbers get worse for The House Plant and down ticket. Didn't Virginia wake you guys up? No one gives a $hit about this stuff. But again, keep it up for another 6 months, 2022 will be a disaster for you and if you don't learn there, Well 2024 is going to be the year all three seats of power flip red. Finally, just for Jussie, how about that SCOTUS.? The Trump Legacy, it just burns him to know he has to deal with a Conservative Court into his 50's Too funny!! I don't think I would characterize myself in that way, but I do like Central control and unity (and social uniformity). And, anyone who tries to break away from their native country is treasonous (I would like to see the USA get larger, not broken up, we need more states IMO). The USA was treasonous in breaking away from Britain, but it was a quite different scenario. I could see myself being either a hardcore patriot (for lack of a better term) or loyalist depending on where I lived in colonial America (tactics and desires were vastly different across the colonies, with some areas basically just being what would be called terrorists in the modern sense, and I doubt I would sympathize with them, and the British military was impressive). I sympathize with Lincoln and probably would have supported him, he thought slavery was an important issue, but he cared more about preserving the territory than anything else (and was willing to sacrifice social issues for such), which is (and would have been) my mindset. That being said equating the CSA and USA is very dishonest. The CSA was about slavery and preserving the historical status quo , the USA was about freedom (for some). England was a global power, with territories all over from India to USA, and everywhere in between. Wanting to be locally autonomous is very different than wanting to preserve slavery. It can be argued (actually its factually true), that if England won, slavery in USA would have ended sooner. Also (and most crucially), the CSA lost, which makes it lose any credibility (winners get to write history). CSA was a blip on the historical radar (what was it a couple of years total at most if being super generous with the timeline?) The fact that some people still worship it is just silly. I can't think of a great equivalency off of the top of my head, but it would be like some failed rebellion happens today, and 200 years from now people wear T-Shirts of it everywhere. |
