I don't know, but I don't think a person can root if they are silent. The main thing that frustrates me about the political climate, individuals under the age of 30 aside, is that the most outspoken people only really care about their side and not about being right about what they are saying. The truth is that none of us have any political power and we exert very little political influence, probably none whatsoever, even within our own circles. I don't think I've ever changed anyone's mind about anything in my life and I certainly wouldn't indoctrinate my kids into thinking one way or another way because they are individuals so it is for them to decide things for themselves without my input. I guess what I am saying is that the only things in political discourse that have even minimal value, in my opinion, are being right or, if rightness cannot be determined, presenting the best and most consistent argument in favor of your position. I never thought I would see the day that Ed wants "Trumpers" to talk more. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

No one is "Rooting against America"...you aren't defending the President with much but "what do you expect him to do" and "I'm doing fine"... For the people on my side that I actually speak with regularly, there is widespread sentiment that President Biden is not doing a good job. That doesn't mean that they aren't doing well, it just means that many people feel the country is not in good hands. They are ready to vote for people that will thwart Biden's attempts to take us further to the left. The stock market is doing well. You harp on that. Good for you. The problem is that inflation is hurting the working class, not wealthy folks like you. You don't acknowledge that at all. How much does Biden have to do with the stock market? Not as much as Covid-19. It should be roaring back--the whole economy was shut down for the pandemic. It would taken someone worse than Biden to have it not go up...maybe the socialists could have screwed it up. Either way, we still need more people working. That would help all of us.
The world is punking President Biden on a regular basis. We are showing weakness we have not shown in a while. |
