The foster family must have had some respect as the whole street was supporting them. Other sources said her natural parents were real dirt bags. Pulling her away is probably going to insure she is messed up for life.

I found out last year, my grandmother on my mother's side is Native American. My mother was adopted at around 3 years of age by what we thought was her real father. He more or less was since he was the one that was around, and the other was the biological father.

We're not even sure if my mother knew, since we never heard about it. Because her real father was also a married man. Married to someone else. Stuff like that happened but was kept on the downlow, and women like my grandmother might have left the community, if word got out because women generally got punished by the stigma.

It was interesting. I don't think anyone is coming to take me away though. (except to the crazy farm perhaps)

How much tax money has already been spent on this nonsense?

The whole point still remains: the FBI is NOT turning over the phone to Apple and saying 'give us what this court order requires'... its saying: Its like saying to an envelope manufacturer... give us the secret formula to make all your envelopes transparent to the FBI and we promise, absolutely promise, that only Good Guys will ever use the formula and only in really really dangerous cases such as Terrorism or Looking Weird at a Policeman.

In order to have a sound principle, someone like the Apple CEO if put in the position of being able to break his own policy to find the killers of a family member, would he have broken his own policy?

I have serious doubts most people wouldn't use their position is such a case.

That is similar to a bank manager being kidnapped..... and his family held hostage to his cooperation.
But in the Apple case, the chairman can't create the desired device, it will take a horde of engineers and most will refuse to work on such a project.

I remember when all this revering the native
Americans thing started. Almost 50 years ago,
a movie called Billy Jack started to make us
aware of how Indians were treated in this
country. This movie was huge. It just looks
silly today. All us young guys want to be
Billy Jack..

That was Sam Arkoff who responded to Grace Kelly's "But what about Art" with the famous "Art Who?" He produced the Billy Jack trilogy and filmed most of it in Santa Monica and Malibu so he didn't have to pay the actors transportation costs. He filmed a riot on Sunset Blvd and used it in his currently being filmed movie. When he needed some cultists he filmed them in high school graduation robes. And that wharf rat who when some guy on a rice burner tried to pick her up in the middle of PCH dismissed him with a "Get a Harley" got a bit part in one of his motorcycle movies partly for her attitude but mainly because she was too young to have even heard of Union Scale.

How on earth does this kind of thing happen? To those that read my comments in another thread, this is a perfect example of what i mean by a collapsing society.

Look who's there. I see very few men,

everything. My parents never would have done
that, they would have expected us to do it. Not
so these days. Parents have little faith that their
kids can accomplish anything on there own, so
they do everything for them. Hence the riot.
These are the moms that were raised in schools
where nobody failed, where everybody got an
award, no matter how dismally they performed.
It wouldn't be 'fair' if their little Johnny got
nothing, so mom made sure he wouldn't.
