where nobody failed, where everybody got an
award, no matter how dismally they performed.

Could explain it, some of the kids were going to wind up with no eggs or few eggs, so the absolute impossibility of that outcome in their eyes meant the world was coming to an end, no doubt.

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-turkey-blast-israel-idUSKCN0WU0LE, also Switzerland. This is 2 days after King of Jordan says Turkey has been helping ISIS all along. And that was after his visit from Putin, and Putin's visit to Israel.

Erdogan looks like he may know soon, just how Khadaffi and Saddam felt after the carpets were pulled from underneath them.

Eh, what?

So, it's a regular problem? Is there no one else to beat in the area?

WTF
I am amazed by this story
Paramedics help people
They are there to help
Apparently in Australia there is a serious problem regarding attacks on paramedics
The primary reason for the attacks
alcohol mainly but other drugs like crystal meth
Really sad
Australians do drink a lot.
Maybe too much.

Paramedics in certain areas of the city... wherein bars use plastic cups so patrons don't get "glassed" in the face. DUIs in Australia are serious and escaping a paramedic can be critical, but often its Aboriginals (an illegal word in Australia) where entitlement and alcohol run rampant and so do youths.

Australians do drink a lot.
The problem is, they are amateurs.

They are also the descendants of criminals. Some traits are hereditary.

So it looks like you may be able to significantly protect the brain from concussion by increasing intracranial pressure. Helps keep the brain from slamming against the inside of the skull.

Quote:
"We realized years ago, a decade ago, that helmets weren't the answer. Helmets weren't working," Bailes told CBS News.

That's because helmets can't protect the brain from "slosh" -- when the brain slams against the skull.

Bailes and his partners were inspired by the woodpecker. It slams its head more than 80 million times over its lifetime without concussions.

The bird's long tongue wraps around its head, compressing the jugular vein.

Bailes replicated that with a collar for humans that gently presses the vein like a necktie, reducing blood flow out of the brain. That creates a backflow, about a teaspoon of extra blood, making a tighter fit in the skull.

"It's unbelievable. To be honest, it's -- we're looking at this and we're expecting to find nothing," Myer said. "It's a paradigm-shifter where we change the way we study protecting the brain. This is a game changer."

Seems pretty obvious, though I wonder if there are any ways to benefit from it.

I know when my blood is up, I already feel "pressured". I know I get the floaty spots and my vision blurs in pace with my heart rate, especially during a big push like the final minutes of a tourney. Were I to wear a turtle neck at that time, I'd probably pass out lol. And I dunno about you, but that type of stuff always gives me a headache.

I wonder why they've never done what seems the obvious thing and just made things softer. We're already very familiar with how much a difference in the rate of deceleration has on injuries. It's the entire reason for things like crumple zones, soft walls, etc. Perhaps making helmets out of some sort of foam instead of rigid polys would assist. Ditto that for neck supports like neck rolls, HANS-type devices, etc.

Of course, perhaps we should just go balls out. Something's got to offset modern medicine and start taking us out before we become a drain on society =p
