You forget how slow moving this show is,
it could get run over with a fast moving
glacier. Enough with the brother allergic
to electricity already, it's not novel anymore.
It's just dumb.

Jonathan Banks is now 10 years older than
when Breaking Bad started, yet he's
supposed to be 10 years younger. He's
70 and looks every year of it. It's looks like
Fring is back next week, I'm thinking he's
the one that bugged Mike's car.

Ok, why was Ehrmantraut firing the gun
in the air 5 times in the truck scene. It
seemed to serve no purpose at the time.
Maybe it has a later purpose.

I just got it. When he shot the shoes, they
wouldn't question where the shot came
from.

They would not have any doubts. Would not get out to search or be suspicious or alarmed in any way. Five shots with no impacts near them were dismissed as nearby hunters. Non threatening. Perfectly reasonable. So the sixth shot was meaningless to them. They could not be allowed to get out of the truck and then detect the falling content of the sneekers or the jig would have been up right then and there.

My only complaint about the scene would be Ehrmantraut not reacting enough to the noise of firing so close to his ear.

That's because he was firing an air
gun that went pop, the rifle sound
was added later.

He is supposed to be an actor in a show that prides itself on realism. I don't expect the producers to damage his hearing but he should have been able to wince more convincingly.

Rewatchig that scene now. He had earplugs. Or maybe just one... definitely one in his right ear but I can't tell about the left.

I'll have to wait until 8:57pm Monday for a re-run, but I can tell you that ain't nobody gonna ever wear only one earplug even if he knows he will have the firearm only on one side of him. Teenage girls occasionally wear just one earing but that is fashion, not function. Earplugs are purchased as a set, stored as a set and used as a set.

Last night's episode almost felt like a Breaking Bad episode to me.

It was about halfway through the episode before Jimmy or Kim even showed up.

I agree but it is easier for the writers to do it that way. Jimmy and Kim are more constrained by prior scripts and by situational believabiity.

I'm not complaining. I loved Breaking Bad.

Looks like next week's episode will be solely focused on Jimmy, Kim, and Chuck.
