I found it boring to the n'th degree. Watching clueless dumb redneck hillbillies isn't entertaining. It's not a documentary, it's a half scripted docudrama that has fake melodrama inserted all the way thru it. Yuck. It's like the Jerry Springer show, mostly fake. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

He said it was corny and boring. Exactly! If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

20 mil listeners makes you an idiot now? Rush makes or breaks TV shows with his opinion. He made Homeland a runaway hit by loving it and mentioning it all the time. By dissing Lion Shite he kept millions from even bothering with it.. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

He’s a little late on this one. Isn’t it already like one of Netflix’s most successful shows ever? Rush most likely doesn’t have much time left on this planet.... as much as I would recommend Tiger King, I think that his remaining time should be spent doing other things than bingeing Netflix. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Also along boating lines, we liked the series "adventures on a narrowboat" about traveling on a livaboard on the UK canal system. The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |

I sat thru 3 episodes of stuff I'd heard a hundred times. It's what's called in showbiz a 'fish out of water' premise. Take a super rich spoiled family and exile them into living in a seedy motel. Hilarity ensues. Not. These things have been around forever. Like Green Acres/Beverly Hillbillies. Except those shows were brilliant compared to this. Schitts has not one likable character. They are all screachy and whiney, you want to slap them. There's even Chris Elliot playing the same role he always plays. A smart ass sarcastic egotist who thinks he knows it all and has one up on everybody. It's the only character I've seen him play in 35 years. How this show went 5 seasons in a miracle, they must be desperate for entertainment in CA. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I made it through one episode and that was it. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

BB had too many filler scenes. With Walt's kid, the sister in law, Skyler having an affair. Ozark has a lot less. And the writing is excellent, I really never saw the ending coming, and I often do. Next season will be amazing. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

petroglyph Member since: Aug 3, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 6227 | I started Ozark a couple years ago and somehow began at about season 2 episode 1 and didn't like it at all. Now about the beginning of the virus I started at ep 1 season 1, and I agree it's great. The acting, storyline, scenery are all very good. Got involved with the characters, I like Ruth, but Buddy was my favorite. My wife had some kinfolk back there, and they are as hillbilly as you can imagine. America seems to me to have several different cultures that are so different, they are like separate country's. The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |
