Umbrella Academy on Netflix

I think the description of the actors playing the 7 siblings, and their powers will either convince you to watch the show or stay away.

#1 Tom Hopper an astronaut with super strength. Reginald injected him with a serum that turned his upper body into that of an ape.
#2 David Castañeda a rebellious troublemaker with the ability to curve the trajectory of anything he throws, he usually uses knives.
#3 Emmy Raver-Lampman a celebrity with the ability to control minds and bend reality with the phrase "I heard a rumor...".
#4 Robert Sheehan a flamboyant drug and alcohol addict with the ability to communicate with the dead.
#5 Aidan Gallagher a boy with the ability to jump through space and time.
#6 Justin H. Min who can summon tentacled horrors from his body. Ben is deceased but appears regularly to Klaus.
#7 Ellen Page a meek violinist with no apparent supernatural abilities, and somewhat alienated from her siblings.

In Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003) the characters all attend the same high school and the librarian acts as coach and trainer in fighting supernatural entities.

But since Harry Potter and Hogwarts Academy a whole genre of teen fantasy about schools or academies designed to train people in supernatural abilities has developed.

Vampire Academy (movie) St. Vladimir's Academy boarding school
The Magicians (mature TV series) Brakebills University for Magical Pedagogy
Greenhouse Academy (younger viewers)
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina- Academy of the Unseen Arts,
The Order is a Canadian-American horror drama web television series which premiered on Netflix on March 7, 2019.

If my math is correct that would make you 70 years old. I always assumed you were older than that.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.

One of the best actors on Blue Bloods
is Will Estes who plays Jamie Reagan.
He's one of the few child actors who
has never been out of work since
he was 10 years old. His first starring
role was in The New Lassie in 1989.
Since then he's been in one series or
another or movie non stop. Very
likable guy.

Umbrella Academy
Just finished season 1
Overall its pretty violent.
Very surprised on who bought the farm and who almost bought the farm.
Very quirky characters such as the assassins Hazel and Cha cha. They are fun and ruthless.
I actually took a break as one potential death really surprised me as series got dark.
Also pretty mature as there is a Gay love story on the side
The story turns are very surprising
You're not sure what's happening next
Season 1 ended on a huge cliff hanger
Thank goodness I can jump right into season 2

The opening credit of the "Umbrella Academy" is always unique and well done for each episode.

The Rotten Tomato count of critics favored Season 2
The Umbrella Academy: Season 1 75%
The Umbrella Academy: Season 2 90%

It has some very simple dramatic subplots, which offset the bizarre main plot developments.

It gets better
I'm thrilled
because
The 2nd season is starting out pretty bizarre as they are stuck in the early 1960's Dallas and one of them is working for Jack Ruby in his strip bar as a bouncer. One academy members wants to save Kennedy then time travel to Hitler and cut his throat. LOL. The corporation trying to keep history intact is a hoot while the assassins working for them are getting meaner.

Gets a ton of neg reviews on IMDB,
Slow, boring and stupid is the
general consensus. And Terapined
likes it. Enough for me to avoid it
like the plague.

Netflix has lost 9 billion dollars since
they released Cuties. In stock value
and in cancelled subscriptions. Just
to prove the saying 'Get Woke Go
Broke' is really true. Good job..
