I have to admit season #1 was pretty terrific.

I saw James Woods once at an antique
show in MI. He's short. But most actors
are short, you can't tell because most
of them are the same height. You get
one who's 6' tall and he towers over
everybody.

Carnival Row on Prime. What a disappointment.
Terrible acting and story, great setting. It's a Lib
SWJ story about all immigrants good, citizens
evil. The immigrants are fairy people with wings.
And guess what, they have an evil president
who wants to keep them out!

Unwatchable, don't bother. You'll be bored
to death halfway thru ep one. Too many
characters.

Shameless on Nflix. Anybody seen it?
Been on for 10 seasons, must have
something going for it. Saw the
first 2 eps, was not impressed.
It's like a modern Brady Bunch,
except the dad is a degenerate
drunk. It's a comedy, I have yet
to see one funny thing.

Falling down drunks are not funny,
The guy I shared a house with in
Santa Barbara was a drunk who
passed out on every floor in the
house countless times. Hilarious,
not.

I'm not sure what this show is
about. How do you get 10 seasons
out of this. Too many kids (6) and
they will all be adults 10 years later
except for 2 of them. Is this worth
my time is what I'm asking.

I looked at reviews and a ton of
them say it was OK until Trump
got elected. The last 2 seasons
have been way too political &
way too much Trump bashing
for a lot of the audience. This
happens so often with a long
running series, the Lib writers
just can't stand it. Like how
Alan Alda ruined the last 2
seasons of MASH with his
Lib crap.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Started watching "On Becoming a God in Central Florida". Scathing look at multi-level marketing schemes. Kirsten Dunst is great. Saw the first two episodes, have the next one waiting in queue.

Ooh. I probably need to see that. Netflix? Prime? Elsewhere?

Edit. Rats, it's Showtime. I have HBO but not them.

Should be hysterical. I'm sure it's a parody/expose of Amway. Hope it gets all kinds of attention.

It was 1970 when I first heard of them (Amway). Some people I knew got into that in a big way. Think they lost everything investing in soap.
Never doubt a small group of concerned citizens can change the world; it's the only thing ever has

That is EXACTLY what it is. It's not streaming, I keep forgetting that it is episodic. But it will come around I'm sure.

Haven’t seen it, didn’t know it existed until you wrote about it.

Sure, based on your review I will not watch it.

Shameless was a British sitcom that aired for 139 episodes 13 January 2004 to 28 May 2013. The American version is at 110 episodes, but still ongoing.

I am a big fan of William H. Macy, who has 4 decades of solid work, but in 8.5 years I have never watched one episode of Shameless. The subject matter is too disturbing.
